Pollard will be gone for sure so hard to imagine they would let zeke go to.

No way they let them both leave.. That would be dumb. Davis has shown flashes but nobody thinks he can step into the full time role. He also found it hard to stay healthy in college .. so to think that they would go into next season without either of their top backs is just silly. They will figure out how to keep at least one of them and it would be best if they figured out how to keep them both. Continuity matters as does having guys who know their assignments.. which most rookie running backs don't. Yes you can draft a stud to hand the ball to and he will be fine at that. But what is he doing to do the other 40 snaps when he isn't getting the ball?

zeke's not going anywhere.
he'll be back on a restructured deal.
but no way they'll trade or release him.
Let's keep restructuring everyone including his bud Dak(kicking the can down the road) to add another 10 years of non-glory and lose some valuable player meat due to the cap coming home in the future and grounding us to the bottom of the NFL.
Yes in fact these leaders have brought to Dallas numerous Superbowls and untold glories, it's a must we keep them on the team!!!!!

There's absolutely no way a legitimate NFL Front Office
would let a player like Pollard walk. So, with the said, you're
probably right... lol/smh

Yeah good luck convincing the people that hate of that. Yes they need to reduce his salary and his cap hit.. but the whole crusade to run him out of Dallas is just dumb. The guy's a good and complete football player who is unselfish and tough as nails. You can never have enough of that type of player.

He would need to cut his salary in half in order to remain on the Dallas roster given Pollard has shown himself to be a more accomplished back as of today.

Zeke would have to take a huge pay cut, and it would be very difficult to bring back him and re-sign Pollard. If we lose Pollard and keep Zeke the fanbase won’t be happy.

I know everyone is always trying to get rid of him but he has done his job and has done it well!

I love 21 and I hope he comes back next year

He's good. Maybe like $4 million a year good. Not $15 million a year good like his salary cap hit is.

What does this even mean?

It means he is a casual fan that doesn't understand the all the small things that go into winning games. He sees Pollard run sixty yards and thinks that would happen over series with Pollard in.

He doesn't get the wearing down of a defense with a bruiser like Elliott. Dallas had one before with Barber. But the subtleties of this game seem to go over the heads of home run fanatics.

Why don't they just throw the Hail Mary every play?

There is so much to the chess match that is professional football. Some miss that entirely.

Zeke can still play. He's NOT worth the money, sure as hell not worth a #4 overall draft pick. He is a good player though. He rarely fumbles, can block well, plays smart, and is a good power runner. He will not break a home run like Pollard of course. RB's are easier to replace than some other positions, so he has that working against him.

I think this is the wrong use of the word "accomplished" in this context. Zeke has certainly accomplished more in the league than Pollard has by a country mile. More explosive? Certainly.. More effective? Perhaps.. at times but not against more stout defensive fronts. Check their respective outputs against the best defensive fronts we have faced.. Tampa, Philly and Washington. Which as you know are more like the type of fronts you're likely to see in the playoffs. In those three games Pollard went for 58 yards on 25 carries. In those same games Zeke had 183 yards on 42 carries. Again when you're talking playoff caliber fronts Zeke is your guy. Not a knock on TP.. he's great at what he do.. But against playoff defenses you need more meat and potatoes and less cherry pie with ice cream on top. The good news for Cowboys fans is we have both.. I see no reason to willingly surrender that advantage assuming the money can be worked out to everyone's satisfaction.

Shhhh.. neither back has fumbled all season.. We weren't supposed to mention it.. It's like taking to the pitcher during a no-no.

That being the case, if they do lose Pollard, they better take another RB fairly early in the draft. I like Zeke but he's not the back he was 4 to 5 years ago.

I don't see the FO moving on from Zeke, but if he doesn't take a paycut, who knows. Pollard is staying or the whole Organization is stupid.

Thing is, 2023 draft has a very good RB class, and it would be smart to get one of those RBs, regardless.
We got us solid rushing for 2-3 years. Let's roll with both guys.

I think zeke takes that pay cut if asked. In 12 years of watching him be a real team player, I;ve never seen otherwise.

The only thing missing form our run game is OC/HC that will commit to racking up run game numbers.

Love him too !!!!
AT the right price.
Hopefully he will redo his deal.
If not, thanks for the memories...
It is a business after all.

How bad is his contract hurting? Didn;t we leave money on the table this year? I know....other peopel want their pile of money coming up too...I get it.

Zeke takes a reasonable pay cut and so too should Dak.
