Always great when athletes talk to the fans... Seems like Mcnabb and L.J. Smith get that the fans are what gives this league life. Really cool that they sat down with you.

L.J. has the talent no doubt to be a probowl tight end; can't block a lick IMO but if he could be more consistent catching the ball he would be in the probowl.

I would tend to agree with you there, which is why I am surprised and impressed by LJ and Mcnabb.

As you know sadly to say i live in eagles country here in philly but a good friend of mine had v.i.p tickets to donovan mcnabb's "old school" party where people would dress up in 80's and early 90's gear.

So anyway i actually sat and talked with mcnabb for about 10 mins at the bar and i told him that honestly i was a big fan of his coming out of syracuse but now i really cant stand him....

Wait ...everyone else may be accepting this, but I have some questions. I'm from Philly too. Trust me, I just can't see a Cowboy's fan coming up on McNabb (at his party now, and in front of his crew/entourage) and telling him "you can't stand him." Even if you did, I doubt whether McNabb would have said anything ...but someone would most definitely have stepped to you! This is Philly you're talking about!

I told him i bleed silver and blue.
I asked him how does he think that the cowboys will fare this year and he said honestly that he thinks its gonna be a tight race with us and the eagles this year....

If he did respond like that it sounds like a decent response.

he then had to go because he had to present big daddy ....

But he said that was probably the best conversation he's had with a cowboys fan outside of michael irvin ....

then he told you that even though you couldn't stand him, your conversation was nextv to a HOFer.

Honestly guys i cant stand the guy but he's really a heck of a guy deep down inside and he seems like he's fun to be around.

Some of you outwardly dislike McNabb ...that's understandable. But I don't think you would attend his party and enjoy the activities if he were the benefactor.

This whole "I went to a celebrity party" and disrespected the Host" is not something a football would do.
