I would like to see Darren McFadden over Morris

1) Zeke is going to make every other RB look bad in comparison. We're being spoiled.
2) I don't want to see McFadden at all.

The problem is that Morris is signed for next year for little money. They likely want him cemented as the backup RB. I'd like to see Jackson brought up and given a series here and there and see what he can do.

I wouldn't say that.. I just think McFadden would be better in a limited role.

If they both got 25 carries I think eventually Morris would grind out more yards but McFadden does everything very well while Morris isn't the best of Receivers and he's just getting stuffed over and over on his limited touches.

Why not? Morris' yards per carry went down every year since his rookie year leading to being just cut by Washington and is averaging only 3.7 ypc with the best offensive line in the NFL. Until he shows otherwise I consider him washed up.

I wasn't real impressed with Darius Jackson..

He kinda had tunell vision and seemed like a straight inline runner.

You could be right and I hope neither one of us gets proven right.

I'd probably agree with you if we didn't have such a great offensive line. Morris has no excuse he needs to show more. Just because Zeke is great doesn't give Morris an excuse to be bad.

He's not terrible. He's a high volume guy. He won't get that.

He's also not a James White type of back.

I think its common misconception that DMC had a great year last year. I think he finally just had a healthy year behind a good Oline. His averages upped about a 1 yard against his career average. But credit to him doing that without a QB

Morris seems to be struggling with his vision which is unusual. If DMC is not an option, Morris definitely needs to pick it up several notches.

Morris averaged just 3.7 ypc last year in Washington too and he had 202 carries last year. I don't think he would just suddenly do great again with more carries. Maybe he would but if he's not suited to be a backup he shouldn't be here because obviously Zeke is the starter.

We have a tough little stretch of games coming up.

I could be making this up but Zeke looked a little slow before his 2 long TD's.

We're a playoff team and we need Zeke to make this thing go.

If Zeke isn't running well the whole thing will fall apart with a Rookie QB.

Who knows. I thought he looked ok physically. If anything, Pittsburgh's aggressive run blitzes perhaps made Zeke more tentative than usual trying to find a crease. I mean, they were really crowding the tackle box pre-snap and then shooting the gaps. But you could be right. We'll see.

He looked good playing behind terrible backups to me,there is a reason they kept him on the roster.

I just don't think Alfred Morris is a good RB with limited touches. I feel confident he would be better than McFadden if he had to carry the load but I don't think he is very good unless he gets a big bulk of carries.

He's a better goal line threat than D-Mac but I like McFadden much better between the 20's and for a series if we have to spell Zeke because of his explosive capabilities.
I agree DMC is more explosive. However. We'd be going to a man blocking scheme for him which would be tough on this oline. You saw it last year. I don't want them going back and forth from zone to man every time DMC is In the game. Leave things be

Yeah I hope he is good.. He is a physical freak.

He's got Zeke measurables but more explosive.

We saw a ton of 25 yesterday and I don't believe he had one touch. He almost got Dak killed on the 50 yard bomb to Dez on the blitz pickup.

The dropoff from Zeke to Morris is enormous. Yesterday when we gave him his usual breather in like the 3rd drive it's almost like we put the 2nd team offense in. It's almost like a giveup drive IMO. Morris has to get going and needs lots of carries type back. I don't know what to do but it has to get better. It's like giving a possession away every game!

With Dak being a rookie we are already using a limited playbook, bring in Morris and you cut those plays in half. DMC can be used as a blocker or a receiver when asked to do so in any play.
