I wouldn't say that.. I just think McFadden would be better in a limited role.
If they both got 25 carries I think eventually Morris would grind out more yards but McFadden does everything very well while Morris isn't the best of Receivers and he's just getting stuffed over and over on his limited touches.
The problem is that Morris is signed for next year for little money. They likely want him cemented as the backup RB. I'd like to see Jackson brought up and given a series here and there and see what he can do.
Why not? Morris' yards per carry went down every year since his rookie year leading to being just cut by Washington and is averaging only 3.7 ypc with the best offensive line in the NFL. Until he shows otherwise I consider him washed up.
1) Zeke is going to make every other RB look bad in comparison. We're being spoiled.
2) I don't want to see McFadden at all.
Garrett said this offseason that the oline had to change their run blocking schemes to work with DMC, thats why I dont believe we will see him again
I'd probably agree with you if we didn't have such a great offensive line. Morris has no excuse he needs to show more. Just because Zeke is great doesn't give Morris an excuse to be bad.
Morris seems to be struggling with his vision which is unusual. If DMC is not an option, Morris definitely needs to pick it up several notches.
Same here. He's done next to nothing this year, dmc and jackson make way less $.i'd take dmc or jackson over dunbar.
We have a tough little stretch of games coming up.
I could be making this up but Zeke looked a little slow before his 2 long TD's.
We're a playoff team and we need Zeke to make this thing go.
If Zeke isn't running well the whole thing will fall apart with a Rookie QB.
I wasn't real impressed with Darius Jackson..
He kinda had tunell vision and seemed like a straight inline runner.
I agree DMC is more explosive. However. We'd be going to a man blocking scheme for him which would be tough on this oline. You saw it last year. I don't want them going back and forth from zone to man every time DMC is In the game. Leave things beI just don't think Alfred Morris is a good RB with limited touches. I feel confident he would be better than McFadden if he had to carry the load but I don't think he is very good unless he gets a big bulk of carries.
He's a better goal line threat than D-Mac but I like McFadden much better between the 20's and for a series if we have to spell Zeke because of his explosive capabilities.
He looked good playing behind terrible backups to me,there is a reason they kept him on the roster.
