I was rooting for the Cowboys when your ****ty diapers were being changed.

Haha. (Ps - that's not possible chronologically) ;)

If your not nervous, your not excited.

Uh, well... no? I'm completely excited and not the least bit nervous, so that disproves your point. Care to try to explain your point again? Because your claim is incorrect.

I guess you are hedging off your original point and trying to suggest now you are excited and not nervous, which is fine by me.

Would that our fans would be optimistic, hopeful, and excited about our team, we wouldn't have a post every single week of the season from some nimrod saying how they are scared about the game or that it is a trap game, etc. I'm just amazed that this is the first time I can recall someone be nervous about the first game of the year against an inferior opponent.

:star:

IDEA:

How about we make a concerted effort to bring excited and hopeful fandom back to Dallas? Who is with me? Who is with saying "no" to all the butthurt whining and doubting Thomases? Who stands with me?

And, here you go, Cowboy fans. Commander logic...at it's finest. This is how they think in DC...that's why the Redsinks suck.

He says "what if we both"...which I would think means 2 things.

And then he lists 3 things?

 Idiots...

I think he means W/L/T, as in they tie so both have a 0-0-1 record...

I see nothing wrong with being nervous. I get nervous before every game, anyone who argues that it makes you less of a fan or that it pisses you off, not sure what go tell you.

I'll be the first to admit that I take the games way too seriously and losing puts me in an awful mood. I don't care who we are playing, being nervous and excited go hand in hand with me.

It's how I've always been and I don't think I'll ever change.

True but it would start some adversity from the media and with in that this team has not shown the ability to deal with and that's what scares me most.

Thats already started.

No way in hell we should lose to the freaking Bucs, they are horrible.

New head coach, just fired the offensive coordinator, and they have freaking Lefty at QB who is about as mobile as a speed bump.

If we lose to this piece of crap team then Wade should be fired in the lockerroom immediately after the game, seriously guys.

We could probably play this game like Preseason Week 3 (vanilla offense, base defense throughout) and still come out with a pretty big win.

I don't care who we play as long as we're playing somebody. the schedule says it's the bucs so BRING IT ON!

I agree. I will say I'm a bit concerned but then tend to be concerned with all games the Cowboys play. As Irvin once said the thought of losing is a great motivator, Tampa is an NFL team that has some guys capable of making big plays and Dallas can't afford to take them lightly.

Most writers have us going 7-9 to 8-8 anyway. So if we lose, we'll just be proving them right. The pressure is all on the Bucs.

I doubt the Cowboy players are concerned about the writers. I do think the pressure is on Dallas after how they under achieved last season and I think this team knows it

This team hasn't even figured out what a false start is yet.

They know all to well what a false start is, they just need to figure a way to cut down on them.

Christ.... before the first game and we already have the "nervous" posts and the fear of the game.

I'm actually suprised you didn't use the word "trap game."

Get over it. If you can't be excited about watching your team play after 9 months of nothing, than you should quit watching football. Because if you are not able to get excited about seeing this and the prospect of winning, then there is no benefit for you in being a fan. You're just making yourself miserable for no reason.

Me? I'm am terribly excited. I know this team has warts like everyone else. But I love the team, like the current group of players, and I can't wait to watch them go out there and give me something to watch. I think we will win, and I'm hopeful it bodes well for us for the season.

Nervous in week 1? Give me a break.

Nervousness has nothing to do with not being excited. I am excited as the next fan, but I get nervous before every game. Kind of a ritual. I think being overly excited and dying of anticipation makes you feel a bit nervous.

This is a stupid post. Everyones nervous before a game. It's what makes being a fan fun.

Been feeling the anticipation of the 2009 season since the end of last one!

What is terribly wrong with a vanilla offense when its effective? Just curious.

Nothing but remember the teams we have been playing in pre-season have also been vanilla. Teams now are game planning looking to exploit weakness and offense start becoming more diverse
