Trade Morgan, and what ever takes to get Mike or Roy Williams or Charles Rogers.

First, I don't think there is a team in the league that would take Morgan for free let alone actually give up something for him. Second, it's just not going to happen.

Charles Rogers is going to be able to be had pretty soon. Can't pay 3 #1 WRs.....just can't.

thats assuming that Rogers can stay healthy and Mike Williams is as good as advertised.

#1 they have few veteran receivers
#2 clearly Morgan wasn't the highest value, i was thinking a first round draft pick, and maybe a third or fourth in addition.

Why? We will probably have room under the cap again next year and we have all of our draft picks except a 4th.

Charles Rogers may be a free agent.
It depends on his health.

Quincy Morgan WILL be a free agent and detroit will not give his agent a call.

A) Detroit would not do it.

B) Why trade a player, and 2 first day draft picks for a player who has played like 1 game in 2 years, because Rogers is the only one they'd even consider trading away.

Let's trade Romo and a 1st and 3rd for Peyton Manning, while we are at it.:D

K-Mart, because signing a veteran receiver would be fairly expensive at this rate, and the chances of getting the highest quality receiver possible is probably also unlikely if we are succesful this year.

Blindzebra, have you seen any of detroits receivers play in college? They are extremely good.

And don't be stupid. Clearly Manning is worth more than that.

This is a lame thread. The Cowboys are no longer in the business of trading away high draft picks for another teams current player(s). You build your team through the draft. Free agency is a luxury where you try and fill in the gaps while managing your cap and holding on to precious draft picks for the annual draft.

Logic...

If they are clearly so good, why would they even entertain trading Roy Williams or Mike Williams?

Rogers, did good things in college, but can't stay healthy in the NFL, and it would be ridiculous to give up a player, a first and third for him.

I used a silly example to illustrate how unlikely this trade would be.;)

That is exactly why, Galian.
