The entire lot where Texas Stadium used to stand is still open land, including the parking lots. Texas DOT uses the area for storage these days. Doesn't seem like it would take much to get this done.

The benefits: It's closer to the Frisco training facility. It's also closer to home for Jerry by about 10 miles miles.

Git 'er done !!
Lol nice.

Maybe one day there will be a “throwback stadium,” much like the jerseys. They use it twice a year. Rent it out otherwise. Jerry is good at that.

This can work!

I think you are correct on both: it would be a great idea but Jerry would never do it.
Perhaps his Children in the Business - plus some legendary Cowboys Players still around that played in the Cotton Bowl - could persuade Jones to move one game there.
Honor and pay tribute annually to the stadium where this iconic, legendary NFL and worldwide sports franchise first started its rise to fame.

It could work. Would be a great way to honor the birthplace of the Cowboys.

It will probably never happen. But I think it would be fun for once every season to see the Cowboys play a “throwback game” at the Cotton Bowl wearing throwback blue and white uniforms, etc. Maybe some “throwback” prices for end zone seats, etc. Seems like it would create some good vibes and PR.

The NHL has been very successful with their throwback outdoor hockey game the last few seasons. Seems like an idea that would be fun and different for the NFL.

But it will probably never happen. Too much cash to be raked in at the giant shopping mall in Arlington.

Would you be in favor?
Great idea. But too much money to be left at the door.

I attended the Cotton Bowl in 2019 for High School game . It’s been nicely revamped but still just an old big stadium. Thankfully it was a day game as I wouldn’t wanted to park around that area at night .

Before that last time I attended Cotton Bowl was State Fair in 2010 for Red River Rivalry game and Tom Landry exhibit provided by his wife Alicia collection which is why I went . Much safer feeling parking at Fair Grounds .

I hadn’t been to the Cotton Biwl since Baylor’s last appearance in Jan 1981 which was my 4th Cotton Bowl. 2 for Baylor and 2 as a band participant in high school.

While I relish the history of the Cotton Bowl like you is where I first attended Cowboy games it’s not likely given a natural disaster to AT&T we’d ever play there.
