Oh man, that sucks! Here, she would've gotten much more than a ticket for "failing to make a safe turn". (Assuming she wasn't a cop's wife) Also, you'd have lawyers suing her, and might even walk away glad she did it.

Seriously though, it depends on the situation. If she was a b****, I'd go all out, but if it was just one of those things where maybe she didn't see you as she was turning because something blocked her view, I'd just go after enough to pay the bills and missed pay caused by the injuries.

I’ve went to the intersection .... I don’t think anything could block her view. You can see pedestrians from all angles...my guess, she wasn’t paying attention.

I’m just glad my dog was on my right, I was hit on the left side...I seriously doubt she would be here if she was on my left...very thankful for that, even though my wife and I are apart, I’m glad she wasn’t with me either, she is usually on my left...

I drive a Nissan Rogue, and I can see a lot around me, but my 99 Dakota has very wide windshield frames. I once hit a construction pylon, with a cop right there, because at the angle of the turn into the intersection, it was hidden behind the frame until I was about 5 feet away.

Okay, something I just realized: Octogenarian women, riding my butt in a Dodge Caravan at 75 mph, with a handicap tag hanging from the mirror make me very nervous!

I don't do the brake check anymore. I just figured out that when someone's riding my *** at that rate of speed, it's dangerous....so they must want me to slow down 10 or 15 mph.

That's what I do! I will slow down and even trap them along side other vehicles if I can.

Don't you just love when you see someone coming up behind you, and out of courtesy, you move over to let them pass, but instead, they get next to you and slow down to match your speed?

Now you're in the granny lane, and coming up behind some butt dragging, can't go any faster guy, and the idiot who's now beside you slows down to match his speed, and now you're boxed in at 50 mph, on a 65mph highway, so you let the air horn rip, and Speedy McGee looks at you with that clueless "what did I do?" face.

My boss came with me to NYC last Friday. Now he has a little better appreciation for what I do, after watching a school bus, full of kids run the red light across my grill.....among other things he saw down there.
