Aikman would probably love Witten, like TWill and Beasley, but clash with Dez. Aikman was a well documented perfectionist and regularly jumped on his receivers when they ran the wrong routes.

I don't know if the 90s team would be as successful offensively in today's game.

Defenses are bigger, faster, and schemes are much more complex
What, they would have been more dominant because the were a brutal bunch, at their peak they may have had the most dominant offensive line in history. Larry Allen and Erick Williams were two of the toughest meanest most dominant offensive linemen i have ever seen.

This, and OL, but some called it wrong to do that. Dont think so. If you are half a----- out there you should be called out. Good thing some did not play with my high school coach, he would have some crying like the Tide coach did when he had the OL crying on the practice field for the dolphins.

Compared to LA & EW, we have Popes playing
now.

I think Tony would have won just as many SBs with those teams Troy had.

I know any one of those 4 teams would have won the SB this year

I doubt Aikman would tolerate Garrett. Watching his episode of A Football Life, Aikman was initially an advocate of Switzer's but Barry's hands off approach changed Troy's mind. There was a preseason game where Aikman was screaming at an assistant coach because Troy was tired of always having to be the person to get on a player's butt for screwing up. He mentioned that Switzer would come over and slap butts when the offensive line hasn't done their job all day. I had to chuckle at that knowing that is the approach Garrett takes on game day, too.

He also mentioned people believe he retired because of injury and that was not the case. He said he retired because he spent a lot of time building up a reputation and credibility in the game and it was being ruined by decisions the team was making. He no longer wanted to be a part of it.

Aikman has more super bowl rings than Romo has playoff wins, and he's a HOFer. You can't even compare their careers.
Tony would have won more Super Bowls than Aikman had be been the QB of the 90s. Tony had more talent than Aikman.

It depends on what Aikman we get. Aikman was a great athlete coming out of college, but after a few years of hits he became a statue. Aikman wouldn’t have the accuracy issues that Dak has, but Aikman also was not accurate to all levels of the field either. But let’s not forget, Aikman was a #1 overall pick... he really didn’t have any weaknesses, even if he was a notch below the elite QBs of his day. I feel like he would be faring better than what we have today, but he would still have issues.

IF Jason Garrett is my coach then there is no way I want Troy Aikman Quarterbacking his team.

I would take Romo all day over Aikman if Jason Garrett is the coach.

Aikman was on a team of trash his first two years.
Dak and Romo - not so much.
Romo didn’t play his first two years but the point being comparing a second year player to a players career is a poor comparison
Troy did play on a bad team but he was also an elite prospect not a qb who really needed to develope much

Yes I know the corners were allowed to do so much more back then, but you all do not remember things correctly if you don’t remember Troy throwing interceptions. Since it’s obviously fair to use troys Super Bowls with no further consideration, Troy thew more int than romo did. Troy also threw almost as many ints as he did tds. Now do I think that is a fair analysis? Absolutely not. Same as it’s not fair to go well Troy won 3 and tony won none. Come on now. It’s so much more complicated.

I watched every game of romo and troys career, and tony was hand down more talented. Even Troy has said so(which I’ll admit doesn’t mean much because he maybe just was being polite) Maybe it’s unpopular opinion. Tony would have won all those say Super Bowls as Troy, it’s a team sport.

Troy could throw a better ball. That's about it.

Romo was forced to do so much more. Blame Jerry or coaching but Troy wouldn't have had the career he had if he were QBing in the Romo era.

Not to mention the elephant in the room in Troy Aikmans favor... 22....
