No! Brandon Carr is irrelevant. High end outside FAs almost always invariably fail. If they weren’t high risk to fail their previous team would have found a way to resign him.I guess it didn't work as we know to Jerry which has seemingly haunted him from spending over the last 10+ years in free agency. If it had worked out better and Carr was a great player, would this have changed Jerry's mind, and made him a believer in doing this more often?? Please give your thoughts
Look at what Washington did this year. Tons of cap, instead of paying the Hanyesworths they signed a bunch of solid, productive players to mid level contracts that they can walk away from fairly easily in a year or 2 after drafting someone better. It’s Jerry’s normal playbook in seasons when he doesn’t have 3 massive contracts all at once on the horizon!
