If Dak bombs another game do you want to see Rush/Lance?

You'll get nothing and you'll like it

I don’t think Lance is in the cards at all this year. I’d imagine it would be Rush. Especially with the games he won last year.

Best case would be next season IMO, but more then likely when Dak’s contract is up.
Our offense is very Basic.

I think Lance could do the job, even if Dak struggles.

Not right now, but I guess it depends on how the game performance looks...hard to say before the game. Ideally, I want to Dak to play the whole season.

However, I think Cooper Rush sees the field better and anticipates throws best in the QB room. Rush's skill set may work well in this offense, especially because it's not a vertical scheme where arm strength is required. I just don't think Lance could have command of the Offense in this short amount of time, and if he plays I want him to be comfortable with the Offense.

The only chance we have of seeing Trey Lance is if the Cowboys decide to get a little creative and use him as a situational QB for a play or two. They’re trying to bring him along the right way so his confidence isn’t completely destroyed. If we just throw him out there, he has little chance to succeed, and it will probably finish him. The team wants to give him an entire offseason and training camp to prepare and develop him properly.

I have absolutely no hope Dak is going to play any better and beat San Diego. I just don’t. How many would be ready to see Rush/Lance thrown into the mix???
What NFL team gives up when they’re 3-3. The suggestion to use Rush is foolish. Any notion of using Lance for anything other than refilling Gatorade bottles is tantamount to tanking. Lance is not an NFL quarterback and is never going to be.

If you want to tank, sure. Although that might be better for the future of the team than going one and done in the playoffs again.

I don’t know if the people calling for Lance understand that the word is he struggled to grasp the playbook despite spending multiple years at SF, which is a notoriously QB friendly playbook.

Not a chance you see Lance unless they are eliminated. He has been the 3rd QB every week. He can only play if the other two physically cant.

Torn.

On one hand, I feel Dak has enough footage on what he can do and I don't want to see him anymore. On the other hand, I want to see if he is mentality tough as a football player to play better with adversity both on the field and in the locker room.

Why in the world would I want to see Rush, a noodle-armed 30 year old backup? People were here last year talking about some team is going to pay him to be the their starter. He had no offers and took a backup deal in Dallas, because that is what he is and the rest of the league knew it.

"But Rush is 5-1 as a starter."

He's 5-0 when the opponent scores 17 or less. He's 0-1 when they don't. He's not taking any team anywhere. He's a back up.

Lance is a lottery ticket. 49ers gave up a lot to get him but gave him away for next to nothing. Meanwhile, Mr. Irrelevant has them humming. Lance turning into a franchise QB is a long shot, at best. I know folks are tired of Dak, I hear ya, but stop talking yourselves into Cooper Rush and Trey Lance.

Sadly there are no options.

While I think the offense flowed better with Rush at QB, he simply doesn’t have Dak’s physical tools.

Jerry is paying $40 million for Dak and he doesn’t pay that kind of coin for him to sit…even if it might be the right call.

I think JJ needs to bring in a QB who can push Dak and create some competition. We know Rush is not that guy; Lance may be that guy…but not this year.

Please explain. And don't completely judge Dak off last Sundays game. He won 24 games the last 2 years while Lance fell to 3rd on the depth chart and then out the door in SF during that same time.
Yeah, I'm ready to move on from Dak, but don't see any way that Lance is it.

Yup. Only reason I'd want to see either of them is to get a higher draft pick. Or maybe a late season audition of Lance, if he's learned enough of the playbook.

Rush no, Lance yes.

Let's say we have no sot to playoffs, then let Lance audition behind a pretty good offensive line.

The problem is barring major injuries or a plane crash Dak will course correct and we will make the playoffs.
That's sort of the problem with Dak. The only guys better than him are the clearly elite guys [Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Allen, T-Law, Lamar Jackson]

Guys who I will move ahead of Dak with another better year [Hurts/Geno Smith]

Should have stuck with Rush last year....then we wouldn't be in this nightmare.

But then again....if you got a backstabbing HC gunning to control it all....

This was bound to blow up in our faces eventually.

Prescott must be playing extremely bad. So bad that he relocated the Chargers back to San Diego according to some.
