If Dak bombs another game do you want to see Rush/Lance?

Please explain. And don't completely judge Dak off last Sundays game. He won 24 games the last 2 years while Lance fell to 3rd on the depth chart and then out the door in SF during that same time.
Rush won some of those 24

I'd like to see what another QB can do.
Other members said the same in October 2016. Jerry Jones thought as well, which is a reason why the same request is being repeated in October 2023.

I have absolutely no hope Dak is going to play any better and beat San Diego. I just don’t. How many would be ready to see Rush/Lance thrown into the mix???
Aint gonna happen, Jerry is going to "ride or die" with his $50 million dollar man.

I can't see any scenario in wich Dak won't finish the season. It's more about what will they do this off-season.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lance a game or two, but let's be honest: he won't play the lights out. It would also end in a loss most probably. But anything's better than watching Dak in another loss.

I live in the Bay Area so maybe I know more about Lance than some here. The knock on him was always his short distance accuracy. The man has a huge arm but can't complete a short throw with accuracy consistently. Big Mac's crap playbook is all short area junk throws. Dak doens't have the decision making, vision or footwork for a WC Offense, and neither does Lance.

I don't want to see Lance until 2025.

I want him to be ready, prepared, and fully developed as an NFL quarterback. He came into the league extremely raw. After playing in only 17 college games, he was blatantly unprepared to start in the NFL. It was a desperate move after they lost Garoppolo. He was not ready.

I don't want the Cowboys to waste their investment by making the same mistake.

If the Cowboys can wait over three years for a free agent quarterback to develop then they should be willing to wait two years for one with better physical tools.

If they bench Dak then they can start Cooper. Anyway, if we really do need to see if Cooper is an option, we should find out if he can repeat his previous success.

I'm guessing, I have seen very little of Lance. But the little I have seen, their style of play seems similar. Not suggesting I know.

When I say = to I was suggesting similar style QB play. At this point Dak has accomplished more obviously.

I would rather see Lance. Rush can barely pass for over 100 yards on a regular basis. He's a career backup for a reason, so I would like to see what Lance can do.

All Dak does now anyway is throw mini passes, and Coop can do that better, so yes on Coop. I haven't seen Lance play so can't say with any certainty. But the niners are competently run and we have an idiot, and everyone seems to agree he's very rough, so on that basis alone I think it's 95% likely that trade was a complete waste of time and nothing more than a vanity move by our dumb owner. I only play when all hope is gone and it's basically just to rule him out as the solution. We need to draft a QB in the first or second round (preferably first).

Not right now, but I guess it depends on how the game performance looks...hard to say before the game. Ideally, I want to Dak to play the whole season.

However, I think Cooper Rush sees the field better and anticipates throws best in the QB room. Rush's skill set may work well in this offense, especially because it's not a vertical scheme where arm strength is required. I just don't think Lance could have command of the Offense in this short amount of time, and if he plays I want him to be comfortable with the Offense.
EXACTLY! The debate last year about Rush being better than Dak was borderline, but in this offense he actually is the better option. Let's see what he can do.

You don't want Lance playing soon, but maybe way later. That's an impossibly bad combination. Million-to-one.

1. Lance will never improve without considerable reps. And even then: a long shot.
2. The Cowboys will have to make a new big fresh financial commitment for Lance to even be around in 2025.

The Lance situation is this: water is flooding from the floor. Space to breathe soon to get closed out from the ceiling. Oh: and currently:
He.Can't.Swim.

Last week's loss against SF was catastrophic in terms of its impact on team confidence. Regardless of what is being said to the media, another performance like that could send this team and its fanbase into the abyss. How many times do we have to see Dak give a subpar effort in a big game before we recognize him for what he is, a 4th round pick who is basically relegated to being a pocket passer(because of injuries) instead of the dual option he used to be. Without the real threat of the run against good defenses, Dak has to be a better decision maker and more accurate thrower which he has clearly shown he can't. And this is the QB Jerry wants to extend.

No…We know what Cooper Rush is, and he is not even close to the answer. A much worse QB.
As for Lance, if the coaches were to put him in, that would mean he’s lighting it up in practice and playing great. Once we are eliminated from playoff contention, I have no problem playing him if he’s ready, but we took him on as a developmental project. Do not play him until you believe he is ready. His confidence doesn’t need to be destroyed further. He needs to know the offense extremely well and experience success in practice. I doubt that happens before next off-season.

I hope a few guys go Tonya Harding on dak Kerrigan and we get a new quarterback. I figure CD will be helping out on this. Dez, Coop, and Beasley might come back to help out too.
