Bottom line is that there are scenarios where we can win the division by splitting with Philly.............we don't have to sweep Philly to win the division, I have no idea how that got floated as a fact because it is simply not true.

Gotcha...................and that is correct, we would need somebody else to beat Philly if we split with them because we have an extra loss in the division against Washington...........If Philly goes 12-4 with their only other loss being one of the games against us, they win the division off tiebreak due to better divisional record.


Losing to Colt McCoy and the sorry arse 3 win Commanders may be the reason we lose the division title.......................wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts

He thinks losing Thursday the Cowboys would need to win out to make the playoffs. I do not think that is the case. With 5 games left and 7 NFCE games to play between the Cowboys and Eagles nothing is certain. I do not see the Cowboys sweeping the Eagles. I do not see the Eagles sweeping the NFCE either. I think Seattle is coming around and could beat them. Just too many scenarios left to be counting any game as do or die.

If Dallas loses to Philly on Thanksgiving day, then we are all but done in the NFC East division race. We would lose the tiebreaker with Philly, the next game with Philly is in their place and we would also drop to 2 and 2 in division games. The odds are that we would have to beat Philly in the rematch, AND win out to ensure we got in.
