Have to win this game if we want the division, I can't see us winning in Philly.

Actually, if things go south and we lose at home, I would bet we win @ Philly - these series games have gone that way many times in the past, and that's what we do......'Boys are the only undefeated road team this year.

There is a scenario where we split with the Eagles, they lose to another division opponent and the seahawks and we lose to the Bears and Colts. In this case it would go down to strength of victory which is tbd.

Granted this would mean both teams are 10-6. However we can still win the division with a tied record.

Don't have to go 10-6 to do it, I believe. If we lose to them and Indianapolis and they lose to us and New York or Washington, we would win because they would have more NFC losses than us (5-4).

You must not be paying much attention to the tiebreakers. We could miss the playoffs at 11 and 5 dude. It is a real possibility.

if possible you could win the lottery but the odds are still very slim. lots of things are possible

If philly beats us once...they own all tiebreakers..if they finish w 11 wins..that means we have to win every other game left to win the division

No, I just listed a tiebreaker that we could win if Philly beats us once. I think there are other scenarios where we can still win the division is well.

All is not lost if we lose Thursday night ... I just prefer, as always, that we don't.

All is not lost if we lose against Philly but it is a monumental game. If we win that game, and then Chicago.. and Philly loses to Seattle, we could be playing for the division in Philly the following week. There are a ton of scenarios that could play out. Hell, we have a shot at one of the top seeds, or wild card, or heck, we could miss the playoffs altogether. It's crazy right now, we just have to win one game at a time.

yep, too many combinations exist right now.

I can demonstrate a scenario where we win in week 17 and we are the #1 seed, we lose, and we don't even make the playoffs.

We could win the next three games, and they could lose their next three just as easily..remember the name Sanchez...and Seattle in the very least will be playing them hungry to get back in the hunt.

Good point about the name Sanchez. That guy is a below average QB and WILL make crucial mistakes. I think we have the better team right now.

We're going to find out. I suspect that the Philly D will blitz more than the Giants did....

If Dallas loses to Philly on Thanksgiving day, then we are all but done in the NFC East division race. We would lose the tiebreaker with Philly, the next game with Philly is in their place and we would also drop to 2 and 2 in division games. The odds are that we would have to beat Philly in the rematch, AND win out to ensure we got in.
Lot of cry-whiner in this post/thread. Game not even played yet and some "fans" looking for a reason to whine/complain.

If they can't win the division, I'd be happy with the Cowboys getting the 5th spot (1st wild card) and get to play NO/Atlanta/Carolina

They win and then play Arizona and upset them

The 6th seed wins their two games and Dallas gets a home game in the championship

Long shot and a pipe dream but I'd take it

Bottom line is that there are scenarios where we can win the division by splitting with Philly.............we don't have to sweep Philly to win the division, I have no idea how that got floated as a fact because it is simply not true.
