Listen to BP on PC

This isn't just a stinger. Dat is physically and emotionaly beat down. I sense today Dat has crossed the line of just wanting to move on. Health there - sometimes players lose that fire.

I would NOT rule out he plays elsewhere in a 4-3 D that better suits him..... His days here are over.

Umm this has nothing to do with a 4-3 or 3-4 Defense. He could have gotten injured in a 4-3....

Man, we are trying to give a great Cowboy his due respect, let's leave the 4-3/3-4 debate to march on in other threads.

He's physically beat down because he has a serious injury.

He's emotionally beat down because he badly wants to be on the field.

Are you suggesting something different?

Parcells mentioned in PC about 3 weeks ago about Burnett playing inside(the guy who reported Parcells saying this indicated Parcells sounded like he meant Burnett playing inside next season).

Nors is absolutelty right...You NEVER reach for a position.

That's how you draft Stepfret Williams, David LaFleur, Dewayne Goodrich, Quincy Carter, etc....

The drafts we've had the past three years have been decent. Why? We drafted the best player on the board.

Stick to the board.....

On the topic...

Very good draft for LBs and OL. I think Brooks falls out of round one as well...maybe even round two. I've read that he has some attitude problems.

I like the Iowa LBs, Abdul Hodge and Chad Greenway. And I agree that AJ Hawk will fall pretty far if he measures in under 6-0.

Stepfret Williams and Quincy were bad picks, I agree. LaFleur wasn't. When healthy, he was good in my opinion. No one could've predicted that his professional career was going to be injury plagued. He was a victim of bad luck. Goodrich....I didn't hate the pick at the time. He had a pretty good collegiate career and I thought he'd be a serviceable pro. Don't know what happened. The cowboys' psyhciatrist didn't do his/her job....

Ahmad Brooks, he has size. Size can't be taught. If he runs a decent 40, no way he slips out of the first. Physical ability will often win over bad attitude as far as personell directors are concerned. Not saying this is the case w/ Parcells, but remember that he does have ties w/ Al Groh.

What are Brooks' character concerns anyway?

WHATS GREAT ABOUT OUR DEPTH - We can now truly draft BPA - yOU KEEP REACHING AT POSITIONS OF NEED AND YOU NED UP WITH A BUNCH OF 5-11 talent guys

Draft to strength and you over time you rise - Its best 53, not best 22.....

I know he's only listed at 6-1, but he looks every bit of it to me. Besides, if he runs another 4.4 40 like he did at OSU's pro day last year, I doubt he drops out of the top 10. It's a nice dream though.

Seems like he'd get the shot now. I thought BP said some kinda negative things about Burnett, anyone know specifics (if I'm right)?

Sorry I even mentioned them....I hope everyone sleeps well tonight.

LaFleur wasn't. When healthy, he was good in my opinion. No one could've predicted that his professional career was going to be injury plagued. He was a victim of bad luck.

I disagree here....respectfully, of course. LaFluer wasn't considered to be a sure-fire first round pick. We traded up with Philly to get him. The trade up itself was a bad decision because Philly wasn't going to take LaFluer, nor were the other two teams ahead of us.

Goodrich....I didn't hate the pick at the time. He had a pretty good collegiate career and I thought he'd be a serviceable pro. Don't know what happened. The cowboys' psyhciatrist didn't do his/her job....

Goodrich, if he had left as a Jr, would've been a higher pick, but he had a horrid Sr year and was exposed. He also had health issues with his heart that scared most teams into removing him from their draft boards entirely.

Nors mentioned his hemp problem......But I've also read that he has had run-ins with Al Groh.

Again, that may or may not be true.
