Foles is like Bortles. If everything around him is perfect he can do well. Now he does get props for the bomb to Alshon shrugging off tacklers.

He’s not a franchise QB. He’s a game manager that can look better in the right system. Same as Dak, Bortles, Keenum and a lot of the other QBs in the league not named Brady, Rodgers, Roethlisberger or Stafford. The league really is missing the upper echelon of QBs since Peyton, Favre and Romo left

I think even Brees at this point is a product of Payton.
You nailed it. When Wentz went down I said Foles is capable of winning games and playing att a high level. I still remember him taking over for Vic and taking a struggling team to the playoffs while throwing 27 touchdowns and 2 INT's..

It's cute how some compare a 6 year vet to a 2nd year Qb, who by the way, was darn good the previous year. I'll just say this, it's going to be entertaining to see all the crybabies once the season starts and you know who is QB.

It will be an interesting dynamic for both the Eagles and Cowboys.

Will Wentz press too much next year to get the team back to the SB, trying reclaim his title of team MVP?

How does Garrett look among the more innovative and effective coaches in the NFL? He was OC when the #1 seed Cowboys lost to the Giants in the Divisional Round and HC when his #1 seed Cowboys lost to GB in the Divisional Round. The man makes players fit his scheme and it shows up badly when key players are out of the lineup.

The best teams build their scheme according to the talents of their players and can turn the page on the scheme week to week. Cowboys are not one of those teams.

his accuracy is horrible
Brady missed wide open guys last night. QBs aren't going to be 100 percent accurate every play...... Especially under duress.

Dak let's his mechanics get messed up with pressured. Wentz was the same way last season. It's part of developing and growing.

Dak has also thrown lasers as well but you Dak haters won't mention that

Ummm he's not. Wentz is not even better than Dak. One team has great coaches and a great team and we don't. They actually designed an offense to fit their skill set. Foles and Wentz are both limited. So they simplified the offense and throw a lot of short passes and the WRs are always open because of the scheme. They have a great OL, Wrs who can catch and get open and a great defense.

Eagles success has nothing to do with the QB.

I think Wentz is over-rated but you can’t be serious with this post..

You don’t think the offense hasn’t been simplified for Dak?

now we need a "Dak friendly offense". what's that? the biggest baddest offensive line so he doesn't get scared. AKA the glitch. the fastest best route runners that can run 10 yard routes, and the best defense in the NFL so he doesn't have to score but 10 points.. lmao..I can't remember the last game to well but didn't a 3rd string qb on the Eagles team have a better rating at the end of the game.. lmao. that was with 2nd 3rd stringers..

That play by Foles to Jeffery, when Newman totally bit on that ‘fake dig’, where Foles stood tall in the pocket while surrounded by rushers was an absolute thing of beauty..

Saying Dak is like him when he bites and bails on limited pressure is just dumb, let alone when he throws in those conditions. It wasn’t just the deep balls Foles threw, it was how he stood in the pocket and delivered.

Eagles might be able to deal him for a 3rd round pick if someone loses their starter in camp, but 95% sure he just stays in philly and resumes his role as the best backup qb in the NFL.

nothing he is the backup.

Steve Buerlein stepped in and played pretty well and beat the bears at soldier field in the playoffs in 91.

he looked like he could have played in the system for a while but obviously it was Aikman's job and this is obviously wentz's job.
Excellent example.

Buerlein helped the Cowboys get into the playoffs after Aikman got hurt in-season. Yet, nobody with an ounce of football sense would have taken Buerlein over Aikman because not only was Aikman more talented and had a higher ceiling than Buerlein, but Aikman represented the future.

Those fans who think Foles' success detracts from Wentz's success are tripping. Wentz is more talented and represents the future. All he lacks is Fole's experience.

Did the Vikings throw the game? Makes NO SENSE how Foles could struggle against Oakland and Dallas then destroy the best defense in the NFL. None.

Only homeristic Cowboys fans/players think Dak is better than Wentz.
