I understand Parcells forbid the coaches from talking but Im not sure what WP stand is on this. I wasn't impressed with his "coachspeak" during the few times I saw him interviewed. I can't believe the media wouldn't be trying to interview him and try to get his thoughts on why his unit underperformed.
Cowher ain't coming to Dallas.amuze;2537918 said:He hasn't proven anything from a coaching perspective. If he were an effective OC, we would have put up a LOT more points this year than we did with the talent we have. Doing so would have won us at least 2 more games and would not have made the last game a playoff game for us.
Frankly, blame should be spread around to Romo, Red, Wade, Special Teams, and so on.
I think Cowher is due for a return to the NFL. I know there were rumors of him holding out of the Carolina gig, but I can't see Fox going anywhere for a while. Everything that Bill Cowher stands for is what our team needs. Toughness. Attitude. Discipline. Most intimidating butt-chin in football.

dbair1967;2537949 said:nope...I'm right there with you.
He had a huge impact on Romo last yr and his system is what allowed Romo to set all those records, he didnt become stupid a yr later.
It's the teams work ethic thats the issue. He doesnt deserve to be absolved of everything, but our offense was one of the best in the league last yr, especially the passing game.

dbair1967;2538039 said:Because it was public knowledge, posted in every newspaper and online news that covers the Cowboys...because Garrett said he re-did the passing game...because Phillips said it

Stoops? GMAB. Cowher, of course. If it's anyone else besides those two you'd be disappointed. Why? Because they aren't big names. Well let's look at the 3 first year coaches that are in the playoffs. They are Football coaches who have been around the NFL for a while and were itching to get a chance to be a head coach. We don't need a big name, we need a coach that is going to instill discipline and a winning attitude. Whether it's a big name coach like Cowher or some assistant coach waiting for his opportunity to prove he can coach an NFL team.Rush 2112;2537880 said:Garrett leaves, fire Wade.....
Who are you bringing in as HC then?
If it's anyone besides Cowher/Stoops I'd be disappointed.
I'd be shocked if it's not Holmgren in 2010.
Could be a lot worse.
Coached up a lot of 2nd day type QB's.

So, which coach was acknowledged for implementing the "pass heavy game plan"?Rush 2112;2538160 said:And there we have it!!!
An AP article that says Garrett is...or should I say WAS creative.
Damn......probably would have been a good idea to line up a guy like Key in the back field at times.
Oh wait........
That Garrett....what a genius.
Saban has proved that he's a much better college head coach (LSU & Alabama) than an NFL head coach (Miami Dolphins). Additionally, he prefers coaching college players over professional ones.Don Corleone;2538197 said:Next head coach should be Nick Saban. He has NFL experience under Belichick, and has no problems getting in players' faces when they screw up.
