Juke - and if he doesn't?:

We'll do exactly what we are doing now.

Ya see Nors, if he lites it up, it's a plus...cuz ya see, it just gives us more options.

Now I know the good of the team is secondary to you thumping your chest but that's not what a fan does.

BTW, how are things on the Pats Forums these days now that your favorite team lost to Denver last week?

Do we give him the starting nod and cut Bledsoe?

He's more mobile and better equipped to play behind a poor line? Sure it will set the organization back a few years but team can then stocpile top 10 picks. By the time Henson starts to hit 30 we can contend around 2010?

Or do we stay the course - draft playmakers and shore up line and make a run now?

Thoughts?

Uh, no. But I'm hoping he kicks arse over there.

Pizza nite?

No chest thumping. Just different opinions on how best to win a Super Bowl and when. I'm as big a fan as there is.

Thanks to those that are participating. Will be interesting to see QB depth chart in July after Henson lites up NFLe.....

It will not matter how great Henson plays. As long as Parcells is here Henson will never see the field.
:hammer: As long as one of Parcells boys mans a position there will be no competition for that spot!!! That's why I hope he leaves after next year.

You believe that? So Henson beat Bledsoe out last camp and Parcells "rigged it"?:lmao2:

Parcells will play the best QB. Simple math - and yes results will be the same this year. Stop blaming Parcells - ask thart Henson what mort he can do!

Actually, let me answer this in the spirit of the post. Of course we go with Henson. Why? Let me count the reasons.

a. We get to stockpile top 10 picks for the next 4 years. Nors sees Henson hitting his stride at 30, so that is only 4 years away. A much better position than playing .500 football with the retreads of the world (Vinny and Bledsoe), barely missing the playoffs and being in the later part of the draft for the next 4 years.

b. Nors sees us contending in 4 years with Henson. I actually think that is awesome. Since we haven't really contended since about 1998, I can be patient for just 4 more years, and when we do we will still have a QB 4 years younger than our current one. Great point Nors.

c. You are right. I actually think he is better for the present too because of his mobility. It gets really old watching a ball patting statue.

So, Nors, thanks for the ideas! I know that your confidence in Henson and the possibility of him playing this year was sincere on your part, and I really think you made some good points. :)

What will happen?

Well, first anyone who thought he had an ounce of talent will start chest thumping, and patting themselves on the back. (Myself included)

We'll continue to be more and more thrilled about the prospect of him taking over one day.

Bledsoe will struggle (it's inevitable) one game. This will result in a horde calling for his head, claiming Parcells would NEVER allow a young guy to play (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) along with new pictures every hour of Bledsoe getting sacked, courtesy of Zaxor.

This will result in further, unrelenting criticism of Bledsoe, which will consistently ignore and overlook any possible factor that may have contributed to his rough day.

There, that should about sum it up.

Well that seals it gang...there is no way that Henson will light it up now...because there is no way our gloomy gus here can be a ray of sunshine.

He won't light up NFLe. I predict he is mediocre.
Book IT.

By the way, I can't believe anyone responded to this post seriously knowing Sister Nors.

I think with Ty Law playing FS for a Parcells discount, it might just work.

Don't make me laugh...even if he lights up Europe, which I sincerely doubt, it would certainly be no indication he was ready to start in the NFL.

Great point.

And with Law at FS - None of Hensons passes in camp over the middle or deep will hit the turf!

I disagree with that. This time is aiming for a Superbowl within the next two years for sure, but Romo (or possibly Henson) is going to get a shot, as well.

He will be wearing this:

and sitting on this

He still wont have the experience and skill set to supplant Bledsoe for the starting job. Bledsoe is a wiley veteran and still playing at an average/slightly above average level.

Again, for Henson and Romo to start, the Braintrust would clearly have to understand that the team would take a step back for them to get experience and go through the normal growing pains.

I surmise that if Vinny or Bledsoe had never been available there was possibly an outside chance we draft a QB or Henson or Romo play, but Bledsoe and Vinny made it easy for Parcells.

Besides, there is no gurantee he will even start or get significant playing time.
