Some members are as bad as the networks and their camera crews who always pan their cameras in Romo's direction on the sidelines. Constantly going out of the way to jab at the guy is totally unnecessary, lol.
One question: Do some people believe that Romo would want a pity gesture in the Super Bowl? All (or the vast majority at least) players dream of playing in the Super Bowl. The last thing a quarterback wants is getting into the pinnacle game of professional football and simply taking a knee.
From my experience, coaches (in all sports and all levels) generally play their backups in title games when they believe a game is securely in hand or totally unwinnable. And when I say backups, I mean players who have always been backups--not players who recently lost their starting jobs. Yes, coaches "honor" old veteran players who were added to rosters for depth by playing them before the end of title games but that's not the same thing.
If Prescott finishes the Super Bowl uninjured and helping the team take an insurmountable lead, it would not surprise me whatsoever if everyone sees Sanchez take a kneel down in the Super Bowl instead of Romo. I would expect that Romo would tell Garrett thanks but no thanks well in advance of the game being played. He'll want Prescott to have his moment and hope that he can achieve his moment elsewhere.
I don't think he would. Like the suggestion to put him in for the Landry Shift at the end. He's not retiring so I think that would feel like a slap in the face. If Dak gets hurt or benched he would come in, but he doesn't seem like the type of guy to want to come in any other way be it for visuals, a good story or pity.
