If I say TO is a cancer enough times...

Maybe something in Dallas will validate my ridiculous claim. I love those that say "Well lookie what he did in San Fran. Lookie what he did in Philthy!!"

ZZZ... There is no fire where you're blowing this smoke.

The moment you're able to really look beyond your hatred for one player you'll realize the other 52 players on the team that are just as accountable as the person you like to poke pins into all day long. Until you realize that one player cannot influence 52 others, you will continue to feed into the negativism instigated by the phoney media machine that is BSPN and fill this board with lame threads that serve no purpose. Some might call this thread "lame/serves no purpose". Everyone is entitled to an opinion. You know what they say about those...

TO, like many others on this team, wants to win. His desire to win is often placed on display the media as they search for that next headline making photo op. The criticism is over the top and that pink elephant everyone is looking for in Dallas must have been retained in San Fran or Philthy.

The purpose of this post is not to convince anyone to suddenly find their hidden love for TO. It is to simply point out that he hasn't been half as bad as some would like and has actually been just as good, if not better, than others expected. As the old saying goes, he is what he is. That's a primadonna WR that loves him some him and loves to score TDs. For the most part, that's 70% of the WR at this level. His play on the field speaks for itself even under the constraints of a offensive coordinator that lacks basic creativity. His conduct off the field hasn't been anywhere close to what should be considered worthy of your intense hatred...

Feel free to do what you do. You know my flame retardant suit is always on. I've said my piece. :starspin

That goes both ways slick and support threads have paled in comparison to the percentage of "get rid of that cancer TO" threads...

I support all 53 players.

I especially like the "Cowboys compare to" threads, all 29 of them.

Myabe so. What I do know is that Owens is a 35 year old wr who looked like he had lost a step this season. He just wasn't able to consistently get seperation as he had in the past.

The only reason for putting up with TO's act was that he was a game changer. If he's no longer that sort of player, is he worth the trouble?

Wow. A pro-TO post from Bleu. I haven't seen one of those in like, five seconds.

What leads you to believe he is not still that sort of game changing player? Has he been put into position to make plays this year? Have the WRs, as a whole, been put into position to make plays?

TO still easily outperforms 90% of the WRs in this league and is a true #1 threat. I disagree with the "lost a step slant". There's no proof. Let's remember, he did catch up with Felix Jones on a full on sprint to the end zone earlier on this season.

I'm just doing my part to counter the onslaught. Actually, this thread is in support of all 53. No one player is above or below the team. TO is a fierce competitor. Conventional thought would say we need a few more of those on this team.

You know that's not true... Unfortunately, I find myself defending one player a lot more than the others though. I'm an equal opportunity talker.

For the record: I'm not going to make any claims to virtually spank the next person that says anything negative about TO. My internet chest isn't the same size as my real chest. :D I was hoping for some civilized discussion.

I feel the same way but threads like this only cause more hatred.

The haters feel you are just another poor soul under TO's "spell" and it makes them angrier that you will not join them in their jihad. You are an infidel in their religion of hate and you must be converted or silenced.

I don't think the hatred can get any worse. It is my desire to reprogram every one of them to love TO by sitting them all down and reading them the book "Little T Learns 2 Share" in the softest voice possible.

No, he loves Pac Man just as much.

Screw Pacman... He had his chance and blew it. I think we will try to keep him around (or shall I say Jerry will) but he will implode in the offseason.
