If I'm Marinelli, I pull Tyrone Crawford and Demarcus Lawrence into my office

I tell them I love them but I want more from them.

I show Crawford his contract and then his production (4.5 sacks). I challenge him to do better.

I show Lawrence his production (1 sack) and the going rate for DE's in this league. I challenge him to show everybody he's worth a big deal.

Finally, I show them this stat and tell them the game is in their hands.

If they allow Rodgers to dance around like Michael Jackson, we're most likely going to lose. It's time for these two to step it up. Both guys seem to have good character and work ethic, it's time to show it on the field for an entire game. DOMINATE.

Nice stat. Our DL led the league in sacks the last 4 weeks of the season (we had 12 sacks not to mention a ton of hurries and some turnovers).

We are peaking at the right time and we are getting healthy. I like our D in this matchup.

I don't think you need to remind any of the guys on this team what's at stake and that they'd better bring their A+ game.

I like this thread. Crawford is a solid run stopper but hasn't followed up from '14 form. DLaw needs to step up also. I think they will.
Making them one dimensional is the first key. Then we got to pressure him and keep him contained in the pocket. TC and DL need to realize how critical they are to this game.

Marinelli doesn't need to do this. I think these guys kinda want to win this week.

The only thing i am worried about is the first two Dallas drives, especially the first one. We have to grind out a few first downs and get some points to relax the rookies. Go 3 and out twice, have a turnover or something goofy and get down to GB, is not how we want to start. Linehan I hope has his A+++ game plan to get everyone involved early and relaxed.

Defense is easier in a big game. I'm not worried about that side of the ball.

We have the recipe to make Rodgers sit in the pocket and beat us. Lets hope it works out.

I think our line gets more pass rush when Dlaw is off the field.

Our run defense might not be as good however.

Words/motivational speeches may not be enough for Crawford or Lawrence to play better since both have been and are dealing with injuries.
Crawford - Shoulder/hamstring, Lawrence - Back.
Crawford's situation doesn't seem dire and should be about 80-95%.
Lawrence on the other hand seems to be dealing with a more serious issue with his back. It will be interesting to see if is able to practice this week.
The person I want to see play in Terrell McClain 97. His absence has really hurt the D.
Having him and Crawford back will help a lot.

They're already largely one dimensional. Stop Rodgers and they are none dimentional.

He's an average quarterback if you keep him in the pocket. Even if he has 5 seconds to throw, he's just not as good between the tackles for some reason.

Rodgers likes to scramble though and pressure sometimes helps him to scramble. I think the trick is pressure up the middle and contain with the DE's so he can't leave the pocket. Rodgers is at his best when extending a play. It's pretty simple to say but damn near impossible to do, Just maintain your rush assignment or gap and he cant scramble. Which I think makes the Gregory suspension a blessing in disguise because he was far from discipline with his gap

The Giants sacked Rodgers 5 times.

It appears that NY had 2 turnovers and GB had zero.

Probably because all they do is throw so teams just flood the field with zones.

I would just show them video of David Irving & Malik Collins, & say "REALLY?!". These guys are kicking your a$$e$. One was a practice squad pickup, & the other is a rookie. Show some pride, for God's sake!
