Because Bond may spend next season in prison.
Is it likely? Probably not.
Is it possible. Yep.
Do teams want to deal with a trial during training camp? Hell no.
That’s all true from an objective point of view when all that is considered is what happens on the field.
I just think it’s obvious that the entire league was concerned enough to leave a top 100 player, and maybe a top 10 receiver completely ignored.
That’s real. It reflects the option of 32 NFL GMs, coaching and scouting staffs.
As a fan, even setting aside the entire industries view of things, we can decide if that’s what we want on our team.
I wouldn’t have wanted Roethlesberger on the Cowboys. Lots of Steelers fans felt the same.
I also am absolutely not a fan of Ray Lewis, Ray Rice, Tyreek Hill, Deshaun Watson, etc., and I wouldn’t want any of them on my team either.
But, for every fan like me, there is another who doesn’t care about anything off the field and can fully embrace a player strictly for how they produce on Sunday.
I can understand someone battling alcohol or drug abuse, but violence is just something I can get down with. It’s sometimes hard, because I want my team to win, but not having to worry about those issues of character, lets me breathe more easily as a fan.
The same 32GM that passed up on Kurt Warner Tony Romo just to name a few 31 teams plus I don't know a whole 7th round up until Brock Purdy or are you telling me that they don't make mistakes please 0 please double standard please... You know how many Hall of Fame players there are that were undrafted would you like to look it up because there are more undrafted free agents in the Hall of Fame or his first round picks you want to go check I'm not saying there won't be risk yeah but Ben Roethlisberger and Ray Lewis and a whole bunch of other fools have been in this league and it's not fair to have a dubbed standard without just making a contract getting a guy some help and let's see what he can do
Doesn't matter if you're a fan of them or not i'm saying if they all got a break then Roethlisberger is in the Hall of Fame there's some drug using steroid bulked up cocaine snorting guys that have played in this league that are all Hall of Famers they are abusers domestic violence people they've done it all there's only rules now because those guys were doing it for decades all I'm saying if you give the guy 1 shot on an undrafted free agent very detailed contract where anything he does he's automatically his contract is null and void.. You try to get the guy therapy you try to get him in a program you give him help that's not a circus that is actually seems to be a pretty popular thing nowadays give somebody a second chance forgive him forget like I said rashi Rice and these dudes guys who have been to jail like Michael Vick and been accepted back into society says this guy's worth at least a look a very specific contract to make sure if he does anything he's out he's got the talent he's worked the risk because what risk is there if your contract says the first thing that happens that you break the rules you're out.?.
