let's say that steve smith has legs. well, the rumor anyway. we've been long rumored as wanting roy williams on the team too. if we had to make a pick between one or the other and the cost would be about the same, which WR would you pick/trade for?

Roy Williams.

It seems he WANTS to be here.
He's bigger, stronger, and faster.
He's younger
He doesn't take cheap shots at this teammates.
He doesn't appear to have anger issues.

But I wouldn't shed too many tears if we picked up Steve Smith.

i'm holding off on voting cause i really wanna hear more. i thought steve smith was older than 29. i like the hometown boy aspect of roy williams but as far as i know, steve smith doesn't flag "injury risk" to me like roy does. not followed either career very closely, so that's why i'm not voting till i study up on my subject.

this is my homework for tonight. taking a break from web building. :)

Steve Smith cause he's faster, more versitile,a vet, not a dumbarse like Roy, and trys every play unlike Williams.

If I could get them same price I'd have to go Steve Smith. Smith is the better compliment to Owens, Williams the better replacement. I think him being available pushes Williams price down though, if Detroit changes their mind.

Does he play bigger, stronger and faster? HELL NO!

Steve Smith in a landslide. Detroit can keep their underachieving wide reciever. I will take the guy led the league in yards, receptions and touchdowns before while being the only good wr on the team.

Steve Smith. I think he would beat Roy Williams in a footrace and has the surer hands.

I've never read a report where it said he has "randy moss'd" it.

steve smith is a savage. He won't be able to yoke up TO though so he can fight some defenders on the other team.

there's a lot of good reasons on either side but right now, i lean smith. love roy and yes, smith has some "baggage" but i think he can help more in the next 3-5 years than roy could.

so far. still doing the pop quiz. : )

He's a better teammate.

I want a guy that I don't want us to have to worry about.

And yes, I think he does play bigger, stronger, and faster.

Steve Smith is more experienced....right now, that's all he has on RW. Give RW a year or two more...with a QB not named Jon Kitna...and he'll be fine.

I wouldn't sneeze at either....but Steve Smith is a ticking time-bomb.
