No, he got caught in the "I'm going to be a spelling police web" when in fact he just didn't know there are many alternate versions of the word and he got a chance to learn something.Rampage;2010249 said:you got caught in the non risk takers web.
well it does say he used it in his own sense so it wasn't officially a word then, i don't know about now though. but i'm no spelling champ either so go answer my question in your nephew thread.Hostile;2010259 said:No, he got caught in the "I'm going to be a spelling police web" when in fact he just didn't know there are many alternate versions of the word and he got a chance to learn something.
Perhaps he had never heard of Edmund Spenser, nor his epic poem, and he probably had no idea Spenser was a contemporary of William Shakespeare, and I am quite certain that he has no idea that a character of that poem was named Braggadocchio who was known for having no sense of humor.
Ironic isn't it? Or do I need to explain irony?
The point is...I used that variation on purpose.Rampage;2010269 said:well it does say he used it in his own sense so it wasn't officially a word then, i don't know about now though. but i'm no spelling champ either so go answer my question in your nephew thread.

Hell of a story huh?mperfection;2010277 said:At present, we're ALL consumed with the tragedy of a contemporary character named Hostile. I can only imagine the Shakesperean dramas which could have been produced with this central character, none of which would have had a redemptive outcome.
"Tell me, Muse, of the man of many resources who wandered far wide after he sacked the holy citadel of Troy. And he saw the cities and learned the thoughts of many men, and on the sea he suffered in his heart many woes." --Homer, The Odyssey

Here's hoping one day you will finally get over whatever it is I did that upset you so much so long ago. Or don't. I really don't care, because I can't even recall what it was.

Weren't you one of the ones, (including me), who were dead wrong about Romo? If I recall correctly you and I were on the Henson bandwagon. I venture to say you and I would have been pretty confident a couple of years ago betting our last savings that Romo wouldn't end up in the Pro Bowl in less than 2 years.
The point is, there are now at least a few respected writers and media types out there, (including Peter King today), predicting Jerry will make a deal to draft McFadden. That tells me there is legitimate talk about it in league circles and it's not just based on the mindless Arkansas connection. Adam Schefter even mentioned it tonight. He down-played it, but he did say the teams could attach their own worth to the value chart. So to call it a "sucker bet" might be a bit short-sighted.
Just saying...
I've been wrong on many players before. So has everyone who has ever loved the game and commented on it.CaptainAmerica;2010319 said:Hey Hos,

It's ok to make a case for not trading up for DMAC, but it should be based on more than "they said so" (I did not have sexual relations with that woman *harhar*). Or more simple: everybody lies. Especially when it comes to pro sports.
And talking about costs, i agree with you that it is too much to move into top5. But if the Jets pass on him, JJ will trade with the Pats

The Arkansas Connection to Jerry Jones has been debunked so badly it is amazing. I can't for the life of me figure out why people are still clinging to it. Homework...who was the last player Jerry Jones drafted from Arkansas and when was it?
By all means, feel free to cheat and look it up. I'll even help.
Cowboys Drafts
Jerry bought the team in 1989, so you only have 19 years of drafts to look up. Show me the Arkansas Razorbacks connection.
