How did Dak look against Tampa? Defense held Tampa to 19 points and he still sucked. He put up 3 points on a defense that just gave up 41 points at home to KC.

@Dorsett33 ....this highlights the watershed we've now reached. A QB2 (with the same Offense and admittedly good D) has shown what's possible. There are no excuses....no KM, no Offensive strategy, no O-Line weakness, no injury concerns, no the Defense let us down.
We now have the comparison of seeing what a limited QB can do with the team and we all expect Dak to take this team deep into the play-offs.

If he doesnt get us there (I'M NOT SAYING HE WONT) a lot of fans (probably the vast majority) are going to question whether is better to pay Dak $100m over 2023-24, or trade him (even Wentz got a trade return) play with a lesser QB, and use the CAP saving (or incoming draft picks) to improve the all round roster.

Dak haters make claims of how we are not excited about Rush? of you kidding me, I love what he has done thus far and I hope we can continue to win. What they fail to do is acknowledge the same, next time Dak and this offense goes out and smokes NY or Washington, I don't want to hear oh it is just NY or Washington. Right now we are winning by the skin of our teeth even vs bad teams but we are winning and I will take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day of the week.

This is NOT just a "QB2". This is a guy apparently no one in the league wanted. A guy with one start. A guy that MANY fans here wanted to tank the season over....although it's been hard to get any to admit it.

Lotta people are quick to credit the defense....same defense as Bucs game. They claim others don't know football...but never learned or have forgotten, the offense does indeed help the defense AKA 2016.

We have to be a little....cautious in this assessment period. We can let our natural bias that everyone has....cloud good judgment. But....Cooper is doing something very remarkable here. I think it might be best to just let it play out rather than bicker about it. Dak will probably get his turn and we shall see.

I understand what you're saying. But for anyone that says Dak isn't putting up good numbers. How many comebacks have Dak had? And it's not that I'm a Dak lover. I'm a Cowboys lover. I defended Romo when my friends used to put him down. What I'm saying is, when Dak put up similar numbers as Rush, people bashed him. And this was before his contract. People hate Dak for different reasons but not man or woman enough to admit it. Dak is a very good QB and we're....meaning Jerry and co.......are going to waste it. Dak or Rush is not going to win every game. Hell Dak may not take us to the Superbowl, but is he a very good QB...yes he is. Rush is a very decent backup. No way would he start for 30 of the 32 teams in the NFL. He's benefitting from a good defense and the fact that we really haven't played anyone but TB. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but those are the facts. I want to win a Superbowl, whether it's Dak or Rush. I will continue to root for Cooper because he's a Cowboy. Which is the most I can say about many people on this board when it comes to Dak.
