It's not what Zeke has but how much he has left. Remember he played most of last season injured. So I'm guessing Jerry is saying since he's healthy we need to see if he can still be a lead RB.

In other words, Jerry's saying doesn't mean it happens. The REAL question .....CAN ZEKE BE THE FOCAL POINT?

Im not feeling that one buddy.

For those that didnt want to admit that Jerry pushes Zeke on his coaching staff, it should be clear now. Jerry is absolutely obsessed with Zeke and would never allow anything other than a dominantly featured role in the run game and even the passing game.

I
Interesting comments from #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @nflnetwork, saying that Zeke Elliott “has to be the focus” in the run game. “He has to be the focal point” based on his work in the run game and pass game. “There is room for (Tony) Pollard while Zeke is in there.”

And needs to be decided by the coaching staff not the owner.

It is decided by the coaches.

Some, many, fans just use the urban myth that Jerry calls the plays and on field personnel decisions to hate on him all the time.
There are many other reasons for them to do that, but they use this one to continue the every day hate.

24 / 7 / 365, Jerry is in their heads, just the way he likes it.

We all know Jerry pushes the coaches toward this player and that player. But to what extent? Putting Lamb in 88, let me know Jerry was going to force the coaches to give Lamb a proper amount of touches. That's why we seen Lamb lined up in the backfield taking handoffs.

Jerry is not pushing Zeke on staff!!! That’s a dumb dumb statement. The staff knows Zeke is the guy, if they didn’t they wouldn’t be coaching in the nfl

He is saying it point blank and you can bet he says the same things to his coaches. He plays through the media with his coaches as much as his fan base.

If you choose to deny the obvious, that's up to you.

Or your just blind to the obvious. Jerry says it point blank. If you choose to turn a blind eye, thats up to you.

As of right now Zeke is the best RB on the team. Until there is a better option Zeke should be pushed.
Many beg to differ, including myself.

Elliott is considered the starter, but Pollard is a starting caliber player, who would be the top RB on most teams throughout the league. That said, just wait & see the starting RB for Dallas in 2023!

Many may beg to differ but they would be wrong.
Pollard isn't an every down RB. If he got as many touches as Zeke his averages would be the same or worse.
I already know Zeke is probably gone in 2023. That's why I want to use a high draft pick for a RB in the draft next year.
Preferably Bjion Robinson from Texas.

Chris Arnold and KG were on the fan this morning talking about this, both said Jerry went on to mention TP's pass protection as a reason. They agree with a big lot of us that KM and the OL coaches failed the team last year and that KM needs to figure out how to get Zeke and Pollard on the field together much more.

He said both on the field at the same time. I’m hoping he is pushing Kellen to use 21 personnel.

P.S. if McCarthy lets Jerry push coaching decisions then I have zero respect for him and should be fired ASAP.

Jerry wouldn't know 21 personnel if you spotted him the 2 and personnel.

You want them to run out of the I-Formation? We don't have a Robert Newhouse or Moose Johnson leading the way anymore.

That's the thing, if the coach doesn't listen, he'd probably have a better chance at getting fired. Philly owner pushes too. That's one of the reasons Doug got fired. They weren't on the same page. It's one of the reasons they keep pushing Hurts. He's not the better suited QB on the team, but he was their draft pick.

IMO the coach should have 100% say in who plays and who starts.

Not blind at all. My eyes see it all very clear.
Jerry is not dictating this, he is stating the obvious. He just says it in a way that feeds his ego, and gets fans riled up.
