Totally disagree. Pollard has emerged as a versatile RB & his development has made him a candidate to do what was once unthinkable.

The first four seasons of Elliott’s career were spectacular. He was arguably the best back in the NFL, but his production has sharply declined over the past two years. That said, Pollard would easily be the starter for many other teams if released today. One more season & he'll be Dallas's new #1 back. And he won't cost Jerey a staggering $90 million to keep out performing Elliott!

Bottom line…..you give pollard 15 carrys and zeke 15 and who is going to have more yards?

5 catches vs 5 catches who has more yards?

it’s pollard both times. And you know with pollard the big play is only a matter of time.

Could be, but remember...Pollard's big plays were mostly on 3rd downs when the defense was playing the pass and not stacking the line. Make him take a beating on fires and second down an see how long he lasts.... he's a part time player....a good, part time player, but he is not a franchise back.

Is Jerry going to also push Dak for a return on that investment? Wait - he already is. By keeping substandard backups on the roster he is preventing Dak from facing any real competition. Dak has no choice but to play.

Wouldn't want to hurt Dak's feelings by having to make him earn his job and pay...
that's jerry for you. 28 years and counting. Dallas is where players come to get paid and retire. no one comes here to win a championship or even get close

you know, you have to start looking at other players and the rest of the team. your world seemingly revolves around dak and only dak. everything some how is about Dak....

Zeke is washed up…
Bull. You think this lunacy makes you look so cool and in the know.
Zeke was on Pace for an excellent season last year...then got hurt at Minny. Then dak got hurt. O line never gelled. Kellen Moore had no clue. Mike said hands off. They asked Zeke to play hurt.

Suddenly Zeke is washed up. Good God the stupidity....jeese.

Jerry is not pushing Zeke on staff!!! That’s a dumb dumb statement. The staff knows Zeke is the guy, if they didn’t they wouldn’t be coaching in the nfl
It's just cowboyroys way of making his Zeke hate look rational.

The sane smart fans don't buy it for one second.

Does Jerry have influence in the team? Duh....of course. Does it make sense to feature Zeke with heavy dose if Tony? Of course.

Roy's trying to make an unreasonable connection between the two......why?

Pure hate agenda and he wants you to have it to. Don't drink the poison.

For those that didnt want to admit that Jerry pushes Zeke on his coaching staff, it should be clear now. Jerry is absolutely obsessed with Zeke and would never allow anything other than a dominantly featured role in the run game and even the passing game.

Interesting comments from #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @nflnetwork, saying that Zeke Elliott “has to be the focus” in the run game. “He has to be the focal point” based on his work in the run game and pass game. “There is room for (Tony) Pollard while Zeke is in there.”
Mike mccarthy talked about Zeke before Jerey even spoke about Zeke. Mike was giving Zeke praise in hus press conference last week.

yah, don’t remember that at all.
Who cares if he’s not a franchise back. Neither is zeke at this point.

Jerry is Jerry, but he's not the first GM who wanted his signings featured and told the head coach his thoughts, or even expressed them publicly.

Where it gets awkward is ol' Jerry's job as GM is not at stake, unlike almost all of his peers. It's more about - say it with me - his ego. Some things never change.

Telling cowboyroy they run different plays is WAY over his zeke-hating head.

Suck it up Jerry. Your failed attempt at GM is in full display. If Jerry was a real GM Pollard would be the starter in place of Zeke.

Zeke, will be in the backfield along with Pollard until one or both are gone. Whining won't change the GM's mind concerning the matter.
