If it's about the QB why is SF getting all this hype over Dallas?

Because the 49ers are a consistently great team in spite of their QB. Their QB isn’t the reason they are a top tier team, unlike the Chiefs or Bengals, who are largely great because of their QB.

Every year, the 49ers succeed based off of their run game, defense, and great coaching. Those remain in tact despite Jimmy G’s injury. That’s why they are so great and ranked above us, and until we are a capable of beating them and getting to a championship/Super Bowl in this decade, it will remain that way (and deservedly so.)
Well , I think the cowboys had a winning streak going against the 49ers until the playoff game last year. Sadly, i wouldn’t be surprised if the 49ers win a Super Bowl again before the cowboys

which was ? At least have the conviction to put the name in your post…lol.

You arbitrarily decided that Cincy and Minny conveniently are not good teams because it suits your argument. Both have a better record than Green Bay whom you determined IS a good team because we lost to them.. So the bottom line is.. Cowboys beat them = not a good team.. Cowboys lost to them = good team.. That about cover it?

Whoa, back the truck up. I included Minny as 4 of the decent teams we played. Please re-read. And, it was extensively commented on at the time about Cincy playing poorly and having problems early in the season when we played them. You’re usually pretty reasonable but you’re working hard here to twist this. Why don’t we chill and see what happens on the field if we meet San Fran on the field. FYI - 49ers are my favorite team for us to beat based on having my heart broken when Clark made the catch.

My apologies, with the way you wrote it "Minny-Cincy" I read that as you were grouping them together. And I still call BS deciding that Cincy isn't a good team since they're tied for the lead in their division. Okay they were having issues back then.. And the Cowboys were without their starting QB. Think Cincy beats any decent team without Burrow?

I would also call the Giants at least a decent team. And the Commanders are the only team to beat Philthy so dismissing them doesn't really make sense either. Both are in the playoff hunt.. I think the Cowboys have solid wins against several playoff caliber teams. They certainly have more than the 49ers do. And declaring that they are better than the Cowboys based off last year makes no sense. I mean the Cowboys clobbered the 49ers in 2020 so shouldn't that have made them the better team in 2021 by that logic?

To be clear, I think the 49ers are really good. They match up well against some teams and not so well against others. I think their physicality gives teams problems. But I don't think the Cowboys will be one of those teams THIS year. The Cowboys are far more physical this year than last and their defense has gone from pretty good to borderline great this season. All of which points to the Cowboys holding what I would call a decent advantage over the 49ers. This version of the Cowboys will not be punked. But you're right.. we won't know for sure until it plays out on the field.

I would say the Niners might be the only exception. On this team you do not need a good QB to be successful.
Interesting stat...The Niners have loss all games when they had 2 or more turnovers.

They won all games when they didn't.

We have to fix the slow starts. I think when we play the iggles, I expect the Vikings team to reemerge.

we gotta put the hurt on Hurts.....we gotta keep him in pocket that will implode on him

Ronnie---- i am bit nervous being "lite" at cornerback....but other than that if we just be us when we play 9ers it wont be 2021 all over again.....it would be so nice if we just pushed all the teams around like girls

but this is NFL so we got out work cut out for us.....for me....i want to see Dak and offense play big in big games and defense choke off any offense......is this asking too much?????

Football is the ultimate team game. But QB is by a mile the most important position, which is why winning with a good QB is easier and winning with an elite QB is a lot easier. That doesn’t mean you can’t win with an average QB or in SFs case a below average QB. There is no one way to win a Super Bowl and that includes QB. It’s just that the odds favor the top QBs.
Lol below average beat the snot out of Prescott last year. Just saying I guess he’s below average as well;(.

Actually I never said the 49ers were better than us: I said they were better than us in certain areas like coaching, etc… My main point was that they had another advantage in that they are not soft. And for us to beat the Giants and Commanders, with the talent advantage we have compared to both teams, to me doesn’t prove how good we are. I think we are in basic agreement that we and the 49ers are good teams and hopefully this is our year if we meet them.

Brock Purdy played in 48 games for Iowa St….his career completion % was 67.7 and that is in often foul Ames, IA weather….the guy is NOT a slouch…Iowa Hawkeye fans can even vouch that he is as competitive as they come. I’d for sure be worried about facing him on the road.

Yes, there are some power ranking that has Dallas as high as #2, behind the iggles. Most place SF above Dallas, which makes no sense. These analyst keep saying "without a QB, you're not going anywhere."

So, I'm to believe a rookie QB who barley was drafted is better than a Pro Bowl QB who was in the discussion for MVP last year? Really?

There is far too much biasness towards Dallas. The media blames it on Dallas never making it far into the playoffs for the past 27 years. Newsflash! This is an entirely different team! Other teams are not held to this standard.....unbelievable.

propping up TV ratings is what the hype is about. Selling the NFL regular season games to the audience.
