Your obsession with Dak is the creepy part. Don't be obtuse. There's not "creepy" about this - we have both a coach and QB of the team that is fan forum is about, on the last year of their contract. This is a valid discussion, if you dislike - get out of the thread.
Next.
With Garrett being in the final year of his contract and Jerry Jones already talking this team up - this needs to be it. If Garrett fails to improve upon what we did in 2018, he needs to walk and take Prescott with him.
Normally, I wouldn't attach a player to the coach, but whatever coach we bring in should be allowed to draft the QB that best suits their system. The 2020 QB class is looking to be deep, you potentially have Tua who is in the mold of a Russel Wilson, Herbert who can make every throw on the field with good mobility, and your prototypical pocket passer in Fromm - then you have interesting prospects such as Costello and Eason whom could end up being late first round to early second round picks as well.
Unless Garrett and Prescott take the next step, we should not consider them our future and there will be plenty of options out there to replace and move on.
The coach should decide this. And honestly I don't think Garrett has a choice who is QB is.
You're spinning. Your initial argument was that the poor play from Dak excuses Garrett - it doesn't, and it's poor logic. Again, Garrett is part of the process of finding the QB to get the job done. The "Well Garrett never had his QB" - is not a valid excuse - he's had Romo and Dak, multiple drafts, and 9 seasons to get his guy. No excuses, he either gets it done this year or we should see him walk.
Cutler had an attitude problem. Dak does not. Dak may have other problems but his attitude isn't one of them.I'd rather not turn this into a Jay Cutler experience where we go through 3-4 coaches in hopes that the light finally comes on for Dak.
If Dak plays poorly enough that, notwithstanding the FO’s apparent commitment to him, they decide to let him go it pretty much does take Garrett off the hook. Pretty confident Jerry would see it that way too. It’s a glaring issue with your thesis.
Makes a lot more sense. What should happen is that the next coach should decide what happens with Prescott.
I both agree and disagree with you here. What should happen is that the next coach should decide what happens with Prescott. A big part of the reason why I would not extend him this year.
Prescott shouldn't be tied to Garrett - heck he might improve with a better coach - but the team should let any potential next coach make the call one way or the other.

Still spinning, getting dizzy?
Without going in circles, I will say for the last time: Garrett had enough time to find his guy, he's the part of the process. Whether you think he has enough control over that is a different discussion, and again, we can't rid of the Jones dopes in the front office. This team? Those are his boys, there's no past regime here - this entire team is his. The failing is on him. It's the HC's job to come in and get the most out of every player and turn out results.
As I mentioned with original post, the situation here is a bit different with attaching Garrett to Prescott - one it comes at a time they are both on the final years of their contract, and due to the fact 2020 is looking to be quite the strong QB class. Garrett's flaws do not excuse Dak and Dak's flaws do not excuse Garrett.
Our next head coach will have nothing to do with Dak, any other player or any other coach. He will be the best fit for being a JJ YES man. That’s all that matters in this insanity we call a pro football team.If the next coach comes in, after Dak having another mediocre to poor season, I will 100% guarantee we didn't snag the best coach on the market but instead grabbed whatever coach we believe best suits Prescott.
That's not exactly how this should go down. 4 years of Prescott is enough to know what we got in him.
How about a smarter decision?
Fire Garrett if the season isn’t successful, hire a new head coach and then let him decide what to do without Dak?

What? Garrett is part of the draft and team building process, Dak wasn't forced to be our starter - it's up to Garrett to help find the franchise QB. You can place blame on others as well, but good luck getting the Jones' knuckleheads from running the show. You can blame the "GM" as well, either way, someone has to go and Garrett would be the most likely in this situation.
Basically you're acknowledging that it's ultimately the fault of the Joneses - who aren't going anywhere - but you want blood so the coach will have to suffice.
That's fine, so long as you're not tricking yourself into believing the next coach is going to magically overcome the dysfunction his predecessors could not. The only thing that's changed in the last 20+ years are the revolving scapegoats, and I'll believe things are going to end differently when I actually see it at this point. Wash, rinse, repeat.
