1. If Trey Lance looks good, Jerry thinks he looks bad paying Dak 250M. Also If Trey looks good, we can't re-sign him as a backup for a reasonable cost. So Trey will sit until the last game or two, when all the talk is about next year.

2. Jerry & Stephen will be very active in FA in 2025, Jerry was embarrassed this year by the media, 2025 FA will be bigger than most think.

The cap reset is finished and we have 70-100M in cap next year. 30 years later....Jerry will make his final run

He did not play in HS. Only played 1 year in college. He apparently is athletic, which will decline each year sitting on the bench. He lacks playing time experience. QB's drafted this year, have more playing experience than Trance in his 4th year in the NFL. He can not be developed sitting on the bench.

He has plenty of experience sitting the bench in HS, College and now in the NFL. That is obviously not helping him get better.
