There’s a lot of very good coaches available this off season. Now is the best time to move on from MM. Jerry is a damn fool if sticks with him.

We'll probably bring McCarthy with some new DC back.

Honestly, I don't think any coach can overcome Jerry. I want an actual GM. That's the only solution. Even Parcells couldn't overcome Jerry.

Belichick's success would depend getting a strong offensive coordinator, Someone who runs a similar offense to Shanahan's. Let Belichick fix this defense.

Coaching is good enough in the regular season since McFat has been here but being utterly humiliated tonight is sickening.

The problem is no matter who you bring as HC, Jerra will expect that HC to fix Dakota. The only constant all these 8 years is been.... you guessed. Dakota. We have changed OCs, DCs, HCs,WRs, RBs, .... all except QB. So?

The HC needs to clean the house and at least have the cojones to start a different QB and take it from there.

I said earlier today that I would be against Belichick. I never viewed him as the GOAT. I always saw him as a very good coach with an all time greatest QB but now has gotten old and resistant to change. The game has past him by.

I'm also a fan of McCarthy. I think he is also a very good coach who happens to be in a situation set up to fail. Give him a sane owner, real personnel department and the greatest QB ever and he'd probably look like Belichick too, just with a thyroid problem.

However, I was wrong. I must hope we do fire McCarthy and hire Belichick. Why? Because the worst owner in sports makes me. That's why.

We have no shot status quo. Retain McCarthy or bring in another head coach with the same authority. Won't matter. No chance. Jerry will remain comfortable and that comfortability spells doom for the Cowboys.

The only chance we have is for another of those Parcells so many skins on the wall that I have to "walk on egg shells" and respect this man kind of coaching hires. The guy that will force Jerry to make concessions because every concession he makes helps to fix what actually ails this team.

So if the reports are true, and I'm talking about the reports that started many years ago, that Jerry has this tremendous regard for Little Bill and his place amongst the greats, then that's the guy I want because that's the guy who might make Jerry change. If even a little. It would still be progress.

And I say that knowing if I was fan of any of the other 31 teams I wouldn't want him. Not at this stage of his career. But I play the hand my lunatic owner has dealt me.

So bring me Bill Belichick. After hours of meetings with plenty of concessions. It's not ideal but it's our only hope for 2024.

And sorry, Coach Mike. Ideally I'd tell you to pack on 30 more lbs and try again next year but it's not to be in Dallas for you.
Belichick is the only one who can tell Jerry and fat Steve the defensive roster is not good enough ( M Bell and D Clark are the worst LB duo in league against the run) and get the most out of Micah Parsons in the 3-4.
He might also be able to share some head doctor stuff with Dak against playoff teams.

If we take Belichick are we interested in Vrable too at DC? Dan Quinn would be gone

Part of me sees BB has someone who has not succeeded much without TB12, but he might be the only one that Jerry would respect.

obviously, we're all fired up, Jerry probably is too.

but he will not make a change. Things will slow down, he will wait for the fury to settle, and he'll keep Mike for one more year. This is the JG playbook. He justifies it to himself because he doesn't need to sign a new contract and can pretend he's putting pressure on the coach to win, when what he's really doing is avoiding the hiring and firing process because he is more than happy with the status quo

I'm not above trading either of them either if it means we can get a true blue chip QB. Look at Stroud. There's nothing special about the offensive talent around him but he just destroyed the best defense in the league. There is better out there. We have to move on.
Moving on from Dak is complicated but I think Jerry has to look at all options

The team that just beat the brakes off us have a lot of dead money so it can be done. This is just an excuse to keep the status quo smh.
If it’s that simple explain your plan because the 60 mil is real

I don’t know. I think Jerry will make a move. But we shall see. What ever he’s gonna do he needs to do it quick so all options are availible

Harbaugh.

The answer is so stupidly obvious. It's Harbaugh. The guy is a proven HC who wins everywhere he goes. His teams are always disciplined and always prepared.

The answer literally could not be more obvious to me. I wanted him here when he was first fired by SF, too.

I know people are chiming in about how they don't like him. I guess fans liking the coach is more important than winning Super Bowls.

2 Coaches that would want full control. BB and Harbaugh.

I'd be shocked if we got either. Neither are puppets
