Exactly. These "player's coaches" make for great headlines and lots of smiles....until something like today's game happens. Mike won a Super Bowl in Green Bay, and I absolutely will not knock his resume, but he didn't have to contend with Jerry Jones in GB. We need a guy that commands respect, and deserves it, because they are the absolute best at what they do. If these guys are available, it makes no sense to not go get one. Surely the owner sees this. If not....idk, man, it's tough take this team seriously.

the jones are to set in there ways to hire a young coach who has ideas that will make this team better. we will get another chan gailey headcoach type. might as well keep mccarthy he is the ultimate yes man. mccarthy will get one of his old coaching friends to coach defense when quinn leaves. mccarthy only has one year left so no great young defensive coach is going to come here for one year.

I hope you are wrong but in all reality, Jerry thinks we are close and believes he doesn't have time for a young coach. It probably won't happen until he dies which is bad for all of us. None of us folks that were young during the 90s glory years are getting any younger. We might be Jerry's age at this point before any real change occurs. Sad.

Don't know. All I know is that as a bettor, you never chase your losses. Dak is a loss. Throwing more money at him, and having less money to spend on the rest of the team is not going to make things better. It's going to get so much worse.

No matter your feelings there has to be a plan to deal with the fact we are over the cap already and cutting Dak leaves 60 mil dead money. It’s not an emotional decision it’s about how you could do it

If you want BB, it means you are OK with Dak. No way JJ hires Bill to start a fresh. He will keep Dak and hope BB gets them over the hump. It's time everyone gets in line with a clean canvas and build a long term winner. Go new young coach like Mike McDonald (watch the Ravens), trade some capital, build the trenches long term... Time to do things different. No more re-tread old coaches with past success. Yes, no Garretts either but I think you got to try to find young coaches just like you need to find a QB.
