I'd rather bring back Mike and hire an OC to call plays than bring in Moore at HC.
I think Kellen Moore would make a great head coach, I’m not sure why you don’t think you would have good field management. We could still hire an offensive or in a defensive coordinator. I like Kelly Moore. I think the players would respond to him. What’s your issue?

I think Mike is done as a HC.

he basically forced KMoore out as the OC/play caller.

the results were terrible.

Mikes offense was Basic.
No. McCarthy's offense last year was the league leader in total points and points per game. The Cowboys problem in 2023 was the defense collapsing like a house of cards in the playoffs. The offense in 2024 was still middle of the road despite a backup QB and no running back.

Head coach, if I’m putting my reputation on the line, I want to be able to hire my own personnel. GM job is to give me the players that I need to succeed. Not the players that he wants to give me and hope I succeed. It’s a dilemma having the owner be the GM. It’s not that he’s terrible at it. It’s just that I’m not sure how much of a team player he is. He gets something with his in his mind and there’s no changing it.

If Jerry brings MM back for goodness sakes hire an OC up in the booth, young innovative . Let the rest of the staff except maybe Al Harris and Jeff Zgonia ( DL ) go and promote one of them to again a DC in the booth upstairs .
That would be pretty good except MM isn't going to stay and give up play calling.

He feels like a Jason Garrett 2.0

I'm sorry, but Moore just doesn't have the football IQ an NFL head coach should have. He's not an intelligent coordinator either. He may have gotten a little better with situational play calling and "in game awareness" but I'm just not sold on him.

I'm not letting the success of the Eagles offense fool me enough to give him full credit for that because the Eagles offense is stacked with All-Pro offensive weapons from top to bottom. They make Moore look ten times better than what he really is.
He's given too much credit these days

How was Jerry going to stop him? He was offered a head coaching gig. Only way to stop him was to make Quinn the Cowboys head coach.
I swear they don’t have a clue, the ones that talk the most. The one that gets me the most, trade him, trade him, yeah let’s trade a player. We hate because someone else is going to love him and give us the world for him.

Like Quinn is having with Washington, how much would this bother Jerry. Sure it would bother the fans more as usual! Please give your thoughts
The funny thing is most cowboys fans wanted Quinn gone. It's not the coaching, it's the personal and FO. Quinn would have still been bad here.

With us, it would obviously be frustrating. To the only one who matters, won't move the needle one bit.

Stop torturing yourselves. You're asking the wrong questions.
