Don't think McCarthy could get the incredible luck Quinn has had as well. Commanders could easily have 3 or 4 more losses. Ball has bounced their way and overcome their average talent.

How was Jerry going to stop him? He was offered a head coaching gig. Only way to stop him was to make Quinn the Cowboys head coach.

They can pay him a coaching wage. Not only did Washington take Quinn, they took some our players and assistants also. And Jerry failed to replace them.

I don't think there are many assistant coaches (who are already millionaires) who are going to pass up a chance to be a head coach and go to a franchise that has a ton of money and a new young franchise QB and better ownership and a better GM.
