Everybody wanna down play Tomlin for winning with Cowher's team but yet praise Gruden, (who also won with Dungy's team) Gruden hasn't done jack since winning the SuperBowl with Dungy's team. At least Tomlin's team stayed competitive throughout the years.

Gruden sounds good on MNF but no thanks.

I am not sure Garrett tans. Scorching burns certainly, but tans?

Haha...right. exactly. Tomlin=Garrett with a tan.... Garrett=Tomlin without a tan....geez...:)

Tomlin has always come across as a poser to me.... never liked him much.

Hey, How 'bout Lovie Smith? Since we're talking replacements.

Can you say overreaction? We're only 2-2. Last week everyone was saying the team is different this year and headed in the right direction. Now, the sky is falling and all the little chickies are screaming.

What has Garrett EVER done to warrant this much optimism? If he continues his .500 ways...why on EARTH would he deserve another shot anytime soon? He had ZERO track record when he got this job. And he has done little to show anyone he deserved this job!

Which is why I never wanted him as HC in the first place . . . . .

I thought this year would be different but rethought that after they laid an egg in SD & flew home with a game against the best team in the league. I said in another thread our only hope is the lousy division we are in.

I put too much stock in a blowout win against a very poor Rams team. I am overreacting probably. 2-2 is what we are. Average.

I think it's wise to wait until the season's over or we're mathematically eliminated. The NFL is tough with little differences between the top 20-25 teams. Injuries will play a major role in some teams success or failures.

I wonder who would be the HC if Garrett had taken the job in Baltimore.......Anyone wanna guess?

Probably Shanahan. IIRC I believe Shanny wanted the job. But I did not think he would have been the right fit either.

My mind was a fog from that period because I was super POed we hired Garrett. I was so mad I did not even post for about 6 months.

FWIW I wanted Gruden . . . .

Probably. I believe the hype & then I get slapped to reality. We're not one of the better teams that's for sure.

I think Shanny would have been a great fit offensively, because Romo is his type of QB. The offense alone, in the division, would get us the East a couple times. The problem is, personnel wise, I don't like him overall at all.

Jason Garrett will be our Head Coach for a long time, and most will be glad of it by the end of this season. Calling my shot now.

Man Hos I wish I could still believe you on that when it comes to Garrett. I just don't see it.

I know Pittsburgh is known to stick it out with a Head Coach. So I doubt he becomes available...but if he does....GO GET HIM. I know many will point to the last 2 seasons...but hey...I can point to the last 17+ seasons in Dallas. Mike Tomline will NOT have to worry about the organization not getting and/or keeping the roster talented because of MONEY. Pittsburgh does what Pittsburgh does...they let people walk when it is time to pay them...and they are reaping the results of those actions right now....that will not be the case in Dallas. What do you guys think?

Tomlin is GREAT!
(When he's surrounded by great players.)

I like Tomlin. Guy is young and has a history of winning. I'm not sure he's the answer for what ails us right now.

Wow, haven't heard the "little chickies" line in a while.
