I agree, but I'm thinking within the organization mostly.. I can't imagine how stupid Shotty will feel if somehow Milton ends up being a stud with Eagles... I'm speaking with emotion as well when I say I would be pissed, and the reason being is because I do indeed see some great upside with Milton, but time will tell..
I don’t think anyone in the organization cares about players let go. You can only have 53 on the active roster so decisions have to be made. They’ve seen him for a couple of years now and let him be on the practice squad after releasing him. If he does well, they’ll wish him well and that’s it.

My original question was how would people feel if Milton ended up being a stud for Philly??? I don't care about your opinion on how much better Dak is than Milton, or how we only have chance with Dak in the building..
I think there was a snafu in replying. I never actually replied to any your comments...I think you meant to reply to someone else when you said this:

See my above reply.

Milton had NEARLY the same stats as Dak.
You miss my point, I use to love Dak, but you won't convince me that he has a good stable mental makeup, its terrible, you know it, so does everyone else.. I would love to trade Dak if we could and get some picks and go down with someone like Milton the rest of the season to see if there is anything there.. We aren't doing anything this year, it's over.. Coaching sucks, are defense is terrible, our general manager is the worst in the nfl...

that was a reply to:

If Milton sees the field, that probably means they are tanking for the draft.
And I was saying Milton had almost as good of a game as Dak.

:lmao2:

I have watched alot of Qb player over the years and personally even though he was far from perfect I saw great upside with Milton in the preseason... I'm out on Dak because I have seen enough of his deer in the headlights and his inability to have what I consider Elite Qb composer... Having said that, If Milton does indeed get chance with Philly and does great, I believe that may be the total nail in the coffin for me as a fan. Each and every year my enthusiasm lessens.

If you were like me and liked what you saw from Milton and wanted to see him get a real chance, how would you feel if Milton became a star in Philly? Hypothetically that is??? I would be happy for Joe quite honestly, but I'm sure Jerrah would spin it on how much he loves him some Dak and happy for Milton, YADA YADA...
Anyone alive who says a team could be good with Joe Milton, and says that he didn’t get a “real chance” , shouldn’t be allowed to be here. There are enough Reddit forums and Eagle fan pages for you to go be laughed at in. I mean serious bruh, if that’s the way your brain works, the nail has already been inserted.

Thanks for answering my question... You wouldn't be bothered if Milton became a star in Philly.. Me personally, I hope Milton does become a stud in philly..
See to your hate of. The front office and it moves. Blind you in the fact that you're supposed to be a Cowboys fan and if you're hoping that. Philadelphia finds success. You're not a Cowboys fan. So you've been exposed. You're an Eagles fan? Why don't you change jerseys and go ahead and move on? Don't let us know you're leaving. Don't wait until Milton becomes a star. Just keep on moving. We're not throwing you a party. Bye, bye.

Lol!
Sure he will.
He sucks.
May not even get another practice squad spot when he does!
Yeah, I don't know about that. I mean, I'm not an expert. I know this. I'd be. More confident that Blue is going to be activated for our game and he's going to do more damage than Milton could. But we shall see. But hey, that's the brakes. That's the business. You give up players, sometimes they go somewhere else and be successful, but they weren't successful here and that is why they. We're allowed to leave.. How one of the worst players to ever let go was Jimmy Smith. But people forget that story. He couldn't stay healthy. He was underachieving. They were worried he'd never stay healthy, so they let him go in the supplemental draft and it burned them and we were looking for Mike's replacement for a long time. But it is what it is. But yeah, I mean if one of our players becomes successful. With the Eagles, that would burn a little bit, but it's not going to. Changed my mind about the Cowboys. All teams do this. Lots of good players get cut and they make a circle and come back around and some of them finally get it and they actually become pretty good...

Jerry would never trade Dak, but if the Cowboys truly wanted to rebuild and have a 2027 fire sale, they could own next April's draft.

A desperate team could give us substantial trade value for Dak if they are willing to take on his contract. Maybe a 1st, but at the very least a 2nd and 3rd in 2027 and maybe a 2nd in 2028 added to it. Next tag and trade Pickens for a 1st or at the least a 2nd and 4th/5th. And while this may sound crazy, they could end up with yet another 1st by trading Tyler Smith. If this team is rebuilding they can live with T.J. Bass at left guard. It wouldn't matter.

Then stockpile day three choices by sending Ferguson, Bland, and maybe Steele away.

I'm very high on Milton and honestly very sad the Eagles got him... Somehow I think I'm right on me, he has the talent and a big chip on his shoulder.. For the life of me I just don't understand what went on with the Cowboys organization on this one... They hold onto guys like Mazi who was terrible but they let Miton go for Cheesburger... I think cowboys are like a twisted fraternity, nothing will change as long as Jerry and his family is at the helm..
Can you explain why no one else wanted him? Not when he was cut and not for another 5 weeks. Just how stupid can the rest of the league be not recognizing a future HOFer? Haha

Milton has traits but hasn't shown he can perform on par with good starting qb's. He's about to get thrown into the fire with no real help on offense.

Milton can't read a defense.
Blue is still on page 3 of our playbook!

I know that you wanna feel that way and everyone has a opinion about it. I'm just telling you, if I had to choose a person that played against us that used to be here, that could do more damage. I would think it would be blue. You don't have to read a defense. If they give you 10 plays throughout the week and say these are the 10, we're gonna run for you. As a passer, maybe Rpos and whatnot. And then that's all they're gonna do. And then run the damn football and play defense. If you didn't notice today, the one thing they still have, their defense is twice as good of ours. They kept the damn score down all game.

See, that's the thing is a Cowboys fan you have to worry about. It's our defense. It's not fair that other teams can play. Low scoring games, or at least keep themselves in games for 4 quarters. Even if their offense isn't perfect, because that's what the Eagles did. The Eagles were in that game all game against a pretty damn good team. The Carolina Panthers are a solid team this year. Because they have a good defense. They have good special teams, they have pretty good coaches, so if they can work around it. They will. I don't about Milton Kenny read a defense or does he need to? He's a one read take off RPO called runs. They can dumb it down really easy. Like they did for Jalen Hurts. When Saquon Barkley ran for like. Close to 2000 yards or whatever it was, and then they ran the ball a lot with Rpos. It's terrible. Kellen Moore kept Jalen Hurts out of trouble. They can do that with a guy like Milton. We seen him do it with Nick Foles. Nick Foles was never a starter in this league, technically not anywhere else anyway. He's never played well anywhere else. But they found a way. We've needed one games with Cooper Rush, so yes, it can be done..

But anyway. I'm just saying if I had to choose to, I think Jadon blew with his speed and the problems with our team. Not being able to protect the edges. He's gone. I mean, I could see where he could do damage against us. We're talking about our defense here...
