If Norv gets fired... do you dump Garrett to bring him back?

If Norv gets the boot in S.D, do you fire Garrett and replace him with Turner? I think I would...Garrett has consistently shown he cannot make adjustments when things are not going so well.

Actually. If Norv gets fired:

Wade: you can either be DC or be released

Garrett: you are HC, you have 1 year to prove your worth

Norve: You are the new OC.

Turner isn't getting fired IMO, but if he were to, you don't even blink at that...

He's proven to be one of the best OC's in history...

In a heart beat....Garrett is a clown....could not agree more about adjustments. Although I will go even further, if Norv gets fired ...bye bye Wade

ehhh...Im with you on the bringing him in as OC but im not sure why you bring him in as HC, I mean he has repeatidly failed at it just as much as Wade...

All that being said, while its fun to dream that he will be fired and come here, as others have posted, when you think about it, I just don't see it happening.

Norv and the GM don't hate each other the was Marty and he did. Big time difference.

yep they got tired of the regular season wins and lack of the same in the playoffs.

yeah the gm and marty didnt get along but marty label of not winning big games aided in him getting fired. you cant fire someone whos producing. it was already being talked about in the media should they fire him for underachieving.

the fact that the gm didnt like marty is the reason why he pulled the trigger but marty track record allowed him to do so. it didnt just happen for no apparent reason

norv was on the hot seat last year as they couldnt even play as expected in the regualr season. .500 ball club but his team stepped up in the playoffs and saved his job

the chargers have been super bowl favs for some time now and havent gotten there. i think injuries played a big part in their playoff loss to the pats during their undefeated year though

still they havent gotten it done and a playoff loss at home to a 9-7 team after winning 11 in a row doesnt help

No, you keep Garrett, and you bring in Norv in a consultant role.

Thing about Garrett is he calls masterful game-plans against superior or inferior opponents, but when it's a relatively even matchup, he lays an egg.

Norv would never accept being Garretts subordinate.

Yeah with Norvell's successes as HC in Washington and Oakland and now throwing it away in the playoffs with San Diego -- well, that is the kind of man we need!

Oh, yeah, he dissed Jerra in the now infamous I-can-get-500-coaches-to-coach-this-team bar scene with Jimma leading the way in 94 was it?

Yeah, bring in Norvell.
