If our team starts playing to potential, we could go unbeaten from now on

There are hardly any balance in the teams we're playing for the rest of the year.

Even Indy I'm not afraid of. They CAN NOT stop the run. And for a team that puts up so many points, you would think "oh teams are going to throwing on them to get back", but they're worst in the nfl in rush defense.

Theyve given up 5 rushing touchdowns, and 4 20+ rushes not including today. They gave up 114 yards rushing.

Call me old fashion but the only game I'm concerned about is the next one. I'll worry about the other teams we face as we go along. I do think as Bledsoe and TO become more familure with each other that this team has a chance to get better each week.

fact is, if we can get our passing game going strong like last year, or even stronger... we have a real chance at the super bowl, yeah i said it.

We are going to trip on a game or two that we should win. Unbeaten from this point on is a little too homerish for me. If we finish in the 11-5 range I'll be a happy camper. That will mean altleast one home game before a trip to (probably) Chicago.

Yes we could go unbeaten from here on. Not likely given Bledslow's ability to melt down every few games.

G-Beast, I like your enthusiasm, but let's take it one game at a time. Beat the Giants! But yeah, I agree that we can hang with each of our future opponents, including tomorrow night.

I know what you're saying here. Very few teams exhibit the balance we show in all areas of the game, even though our passing game is lagging a bit. However, one team who did, lost today. San Diego lost a tough divisional game on the road. These things happen. I see a very ncie little run looming ahead for us, though. Not undefeated, but we'll be challenging for homefield near end of season. Two things are most important - running the ball and stopping the run. There are only two or three teams doing that on a similar level to us.

Eh, this could be said about every other team.

We haven't exactly shown to be the most mistake-free, consistent of teams.

We'll have to stop making mistakes (three facemasks on one drive?) to stop this roller coaster ride.

Undefeated. Playoffs? cue Jim Mora. Lets just see what happens before we start booking our tickets to the Super Bowl. Everyone knows the NFL is crazy. The Chiefs took an absolute beatdown one week and then beat, according to ESPN, the best team in football in the chargers the next.

Sorry folks...remember the two sacred words...offensive line. We are not good (or deep) enough to go unbeaten. Our roller coaster continues...but I think this is an "up" week.

What has been your problem with the Oline, specifically? - and I'm taking away Flozell Adams in Philly as an answer. :D

That's all I can think of. The O-line has been a positive surprise this year save one man in one game.

I'm not a Bledsoe hater, but I've seen enough of the guy over the years. He's an up and down guy. Some games he'll look like Johnny U, other games he'll just look.

I like our team, but we could just as easily go 0-4 as 4-0 over the next four games.

My belief is that offensive lines, particularly in pass blocking, have to succeed physically and work together as a unit. Run blocking is more one on one physical work and does not require so much performance as a unit. Our OL, against the two decent defenses we have faced, has been beaten physically at times and beaten as a unit a number of others. Flo's effort in Jacksonville was not great and we were beaten as a unit in Philly.

We matched up poorly last season against the better DE's and I believe that trend is continuing this year (although not as bad as last year). Bledsoe's known lack of mobility coupled with poor "ad-libbing" means we do poorly if the opposing defense can get pressure rushing only four. I'm not bashing Bledsoe here, but our line is required to be better than average because everyone knows precisely how to attack him.

Our line is not bad in the literal sense this year, but in pass blocking, we are vulnerable to stunts and have not shown an ability to adjust to what a good defense is doing. We are also one injury away from becoming much worse. Is there any position on the OL where we have any real depth? Maybe at center. I think we could get a decent game or two out of Fabini but no more than that.

I hope I'm wrong and our line deals with the G-men and the Panthers on the road. I think we have a decent chance at home. On the road, I'm doubtful.

Obviously the better the line plays the better our offense is. As it means more opportunities to play witten, and even fasano in the passing game.

Which opens things up for everyone.

A team like San Diego doesn't have nearly the offensive weapons we do. And our defense is almost as good as theirs. Better with them not having Merriman and Foley. They have no more pass rush.

Our line has gotten better with every game with the exception of the Philly game. And I'm willing to let it go. It was the left side of the line having a problem, that hopefully theyve addressed. It hasn't been the story the entire season. Especially from Kosier.

I really believe in this Dallas Cowboys team, especially once they get going. It's the most balanced team I've seen since Parcells got here.

This offense has potential to be a top 5, as does the defense. You don't see that in the NFL.

Going into the week we were ranked 6th in offensive yards per game, and 6th in defensive yards per game.

I think San Diego is probably (was probably) the 2nd best team in the nfl after us. But I think they're going to drop without Merriman for 4 games.

We've got the weapons on both sides of the ball for once, we just need to find consistency, and that comes with time. I see a better team on the field every game.
