If our team starts playing to potential, we could go unbeaten from now on

I agree that we are plenty talented enough to beat any team in the NFL but we are also plenty inconsistent enough to LOSE to ANY NFL team.

Are we really that inconsistent? We obliterated the three teams that were clearly inferior. I don't see any evidence that we can "lose to any NFL team."

We lost to two good teams on the road. We weren't blown out in either of those games, but we didn't end up on top. We're not inconsistent, we're just vulnerable.

We're not good against inside pressure (that's Bledsoe and the line), and we're vulnerable to the deep ball (our safeties and our only-ok pass rush). Teams that can exploit those weaknesses can beat us, and will continue to be tough for us until we fix the problems.

I think we're talented enough to compete with any team in the NFL, but not talented enough to beat any team in the NFL. And that's going to lead to a lot of ups and downs when we do play good teams.

But it's a damn sight better than last year, when we played close against everybody, good and bad alike.
