If our team starts playing to potential, we could go unbeaten from now on

Takes 1 meltdown day from bledsoe to ruin this hope. We're not even sure about this giants game at home on monday night first and foremost.

Panthers are most definitely still a worry despite their loss today.

Falcons scare me now with Vick throwing well. I watched the falcons/steelers game and he was a man possessed, didn't really rush rarely ever and was hitting strikes all over the place. I think his accuracy has been fine honestly, his receivers just couldn't catch a cold, but today, jenkins made a great catch in the corner of the endzone and crumpler was catching every single vick bullet with ease. Gotta look out for the falcons now.. they can gain momentum and be on a real high when our time is up to face them...

Oh Jesus.

I have doubts about being able to win 3 in a row at any point much less 11.

The Colts are the toughest team we will face, however, with our coners if we can put some pressure on Peyton, we can beat these guys.

fact is, if we can get our passing game going strong like last year, or even stronger... we have a real chance at the super bowl, yeah i said it.

And how's that beer treating you this morning?

I see a better team on the field every game.

What you see is a better team on the field against weaker opponents. We've played well in games 2, 3 and 5, and poorly in games 1 and 4 - hardly a steady improvement. We have to beat teams like the Giants tonight to even start talking about the possibility of the playoffs and having success in the playoffs. Beating Washington without Portis, Tennessee in Vince Young's first start, and Houston doesn't qualify as proof of anything other than we are beating teams we clearly should beat.

And if we win it will not ensure anything, it is an important game because it is a divisional game but win or lose it is not going to determine the final outcome of the season. I do agree it is big and with 3 road games coming up it would be nice to head out on the road with momentum and confidence. However no team can look at any game as all or nothing unless you’re talking post-season.

Right. We beat the snot out of the teams we were suppose to and lost to teams that had the ability to beat us. The 2006 Cowboys are still a mystery and some of the peices of that puzzle will be revealed tonight.

Agreed. Big game but regardless, whoever loses still has a good chance of getting into the playoffs, but they will have taken another step towards the possibility of not making it to the Playoffs.

Besides, I dont know if I get excited more about the actual Game or to see how Cowboys Message boards and the media blow up and overreact after a loss ;) .

BTW, this multi-quote feature is tight.

Don't get me wrong I want to see Dallas win as much as anyone and I realize the importance of this game but I also know teams can't afford to put too much emphasis on 1 game to the point that it hurts them for the remainder of a season and that does happen. Win or lose Dallas has to put the game behind them and get ready for the next one because in the end this is just 1 game

Tonight is only Part I of the test. A win gives reason for optimism, for some stiff challenges ahead.
And the NFL today is a week to week proposition, nothing is certain or given to those who look more than 7 days ahead.

To have potential and to actually play to the potential are two different things. Theoretically, the last few years the New York Yankee's should have stomped every single team into the ground, but didn't. A-Rod is the best player in the game bar-none. I don't care what anyone says. He is and it's a fact. Problem, apply pressure and he folds. The Yankees was the absolute worst place for him to go! Sort of like Kenny Rogers going to the Yankees when he did. Wow, whats with Kenny now? From the worst pitcher in playoff history to now the best pitcher in playoff history!

Go Kenny!

I digress. The Cowboys have the potential to win the Superbowl, but the odds in the happening (especially with their inconsistent play) arn't very good, but like always. It ain't over till the fat lady sings!

Stinkin A. Smith suggested steroids today. At least that what I thought he said as I was driving home for lunch. Of course I don't pay a whole lot of attention to his idiotic commentary. He is a Classic BSPN analyst.

Eh, this could be said about every other team.

We haven't exactly shown to be the most mistake-free, consistent of teams.

We'll have to stop making mistakes (three facemasks on one drive?) to stop this roller coaster ride.

I agree and that is what is so frustrating-

Consistancy---

How do we get it?

Yeah that's ridiculous. Steroids wouldn't leave the "dirt spot" on his hand.;)

orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,
everyone could follow Philthy's map to beating us, blitzing up the middle
our playcalling could continue to suck
Bledsoe could continue to suck
and our defense could get beaten deep
and we could LOSE every game from here on out....

I agree that we are plenty talented enough to beat any team in the NFL but we are also plenty inconsistent enough to LOSE to ANY NFL team. At this point we just aren't consistent enough to string together good games and win anything. We haven't even beaten a good team yet this year.
I hope this changes tonight and I think it will, but I ONLY think that because we're playing at home.
