If Payton Goes To The Saints

Actually I'm concerned that is exactly what will happen if Parcells leaves at end of his contract.

I posted about 2 weeks ago re article in Dallas newspaper (don't remember which one) reported Cowboys had been offered a third round pick for Romo just before trading deadline in 05 but Cowboys turned it down. No other details provided. Don't know if Cowboys that high on them or didn't have any alternative at QB if Bledsoe went down. We will lose Romo end of 06 season unless he gets playing time in regular season; he's already sat on the bench for 3 years.

I got that it was sarcasm; I just don't think that you are THAT far off the mark. I do think that Payton will make a serious run at getting Romo if he goes to NO. As I said the 1st is ridiculous and a 4th is more in line with Romo's history but I could see us getting a 3rd or even a 2nd if Payton is really as high on him as he seems to be.

and Jack, if the Saints will give us a 4th or better we would be smart to go to the bank with it, and with a smile on our face at that.
