If Sam Bradford is released

2012 showed good improvement for Bradford.
2013 showed good start then hurt.
2014 - washout hurt.
So you would have to risk that he stays on the field.
Would I sign him to be a backup if healthy? Yes.
Would I then cut Weeden? Yes.

Where's that No gif?

Not sure, this is all I could find.

If Bradford is released he'll be signed by someone as a starter. When he's played he's been a top tier QB.

Not trying to an arse here, but no he hasn't

He's not terrible by any means, but certainly has not been top tier when healthy.
I actually think he still has upside.

Rumor is that Buffalo is interested him.

Bills' Sam Bradford trade rumor is likely unfounded
Sal Maiorana, Staff writer 5:18 p.m. EST February 24, 2015

Yahoo! Sports stirred the embers Tuesday afternoon with a report that the Bills were trying to execute a trade that would bring St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford to Buffalo.

Shortly thereafter, there were reports debunking the Yahoo! story, saying the Bills were not making a push to acquire Bradford.

Given all the misinformation that's out there, who knows who to believe. What this sounds like to me is Bradford's agent is trying to roil the pool a bit to gauge what the interest in Bradford might be, and to perhaps convince the Rams to come to the bargaining table and extend Bradford's contract which runs out at the end of 2015. In 2015, Bradford is due to make nearly $13 million in base salary, and his cap hit is $16.58 million.

It doesn't make sense for a team to trade for him. I doubt any team would be willing to pay Bradford $13 million in base salary for one season.

Bradford is better then Weedon or, likely, anybody else we can get in FA. I don't really think there is any question of that. The problem is, he can't stay healthy. That's not necessarily a big deal if he's a backup but that's never going to happen. At least not this year. Bradford, as has been mentioned previously, will want to start. You send Brandford to the Jets and he can win some ball games IMO. Send Bradford to Phoenix and same deal. He's not coming to Dallas and he will get paid more then we would likely be willing to pay for a backup IMO.

Now, if you want to discuss Shaun Hill or Austin Davis, that's a different discussion all together.

Wouldn't he be a better option behind Romo than Weeden?

would Bradford want to be a back up? he is a starter, but often injured. there would be a bunch of team that would probably want him as starter, i.e. Jets, Houston, buffalo, browns, niners. As a backup AZ, broncos, even new England might be interested. why would he want to come to dallas, when the owner has said he is committed to Romo for the next three or four years.

we know, we need a good backup. we know romo could get injured any play. but again, Bradford wouldn't think of himself in that role.
