If Shotty is as good as his dad

The biggest problem with Jerry it matters too much to him. He simply won’t get out of the way and allow someone else to control his team. He’s too hands on to the point where he undermines his head coaches. The most success he had was when he allowed someone else to control his team but that wasn’t fun for him. He even said one time he wanted to be a coach. He needs to take a few steps back.
This could be true but my goodness when is enough enough.
I mean at some point he has to save himself from himself and have some mercy on this fan base.
And if he won't step back for heaven's sake step forward and truly go all in spend the money do what it takes shoot the works

Jerry wants desperately to win a Super Bowl his way. He wants all the credit. Unfortunately his way hasn’t worked. He’s a control freak.

You mean to tell me with all the changes that have been made in our team.
And the fact that our division is arguably the most competitive and difficult in football.

If we made it to the NFC championship game you would not be happy and inspired.

I'm not saying completely satisfied just happy and inspired
I would see it as a missed opportunity to win a Super Bowl.

Yes Marty had Montana and kosar. But he also win alot of games with Dave Krieg, Steve Deberg. The guy was a helluva coach

I know he likes to gamble but even a gambler knows when he's running out of time.

Jerry is on borrowed time now and if he doesn't decide to get some help. The chance of actually winning a Super bowl is very slim

Brian is in his 50's ........ if he was good he would have gotten a shot with someone not named Jerry Jones a long time ago ........ lets stop acting like he is some kid phenom.
He doesn't have to be a kid or any special age to be able to motivate men.
If he has the talent to do it he's got it doesn't matter how old he is

Let’s be honest, the odds of winning a SB are slim for most of the teams. Especially with the team the Cowboys have being led by a rookie HC who may end up being in over his head. From listening to Jerry he sounds like he’s going to go down swinging trying to win a SB his way.

This is a straight up ridiculous question.

He’s a rookie head coach….. the comparison being a coach on the cusp of the hall of fame

Have you plotted out Cam Ward? How is his HOF trajectory?

Is Ashton Jeantry going to rush for 1800 yards?

He may continue trying to win it his way
But in the words of Mick Jagger you can't always get what you want.
Jerry's going to be 83 in October Brian schottenheimer's contract runs for 4 years.
If Jerry doesn't go all in and give him the tools to get the job done at 87 when shotty's contract expires when would he expected to happen

Truthfully, no one knows the answer. Not even Shotty himself. But what he does know is, it's what not to do. He saw what worked with his father, then at Seattle, then what worked here, then what didn't work under Fat Mike. It was a entitled passive type of culture. Which to be fair, has existed in Dallas long before Mike. He just went along to get along. Shotty is aiming to change that aspect. It truly is a mindset. We about to see who's bought in, and if enough have bought in to make it work. It's early yet. Shotty deserves time. He may not be the new shiney object like a Ben Johnson or A Glenn, but like them, he ought to be given the same chance. I'm not gonna predetermine anything yet.

Crazy isn’t it?

Dude has been demoted or fired every step of the way, Dallas didn’t even trust him to be a real OC last year, but still failed up in Dallas.

Schottenheimer got this job because he is okay being the least in control coach in the history of the NFL.

This hire is going to be a disaster.

What happened with his previous 9 or so teams that let him go?

You think Jerry Jones, of all people, sees something that everyone else doesn’t?
