After that disaster by the hands of SF, this team looks shell shocked and you can see it starting to fall off the rails. It’s not there yet, but a loss to LA and this season will begin going up in smoke. This is a must win and an important get right game. A loss here and even worse, if Dak doesn’t perform then Jerry might have no choice but start Lance. The chants have already started on here and it won’t be long before others begin joining in. A loss here would torpedo this season for good.
Are we tanking? Because that is the only thing this would accomplish. Lance couldn’t even do anything with Shanahan, you think Big Mike can get more out of him? No chance.

Why would he be forced to bench Dak? Regardless of how he plays, if Jerry doesn't care about winning and is only concerned about making money, why would it matter? We haven't been to a championship game in ages, losing next week wouldn't suddenly force his hand.

Lance won’t start a game this season. He’s not even the backup

No way on gods green earth.
Only way Lance starts if Dak and Rush get injured
Nah Lance will be saved for next season. Jerry can con mop sell yall into keep tuning in for another season with the prospect of a new franchise qb. He knows the fanbase will be patient for The whole year

LOLWUT?! Dallas will 100% be in position for the playoffs, which means there will not be any changes at the QB position. Zero.

I think if it alls go down behind the scenes. Dak suffers an "injury" that sidelines him this year. They won't bench him because that would be an admission of fault and could potentially hurt ticket sales.

I would agree if they lose to the Chargers… Big Mike should get nervous .. No move will be made on Dak unless he gets crazy with his new contract.

Lance is the number 3 guy. Posters here on this forum and other Cowboy fans need to accept that. Cooper Rush got a nice contract in the past off season to be the back up QB. He acquitted himself pretty well in the past when Dak was injured. He is not a proven full time starter but he is a good reserve. Lance is a project. He was not good enough to beat out the well traveled Sam Darnold for the number 2 job in SF. The Niners would not have given up so easily on Lance if he had show much. Remember they paid a kings ransom just to draft him. IMO barring multiple injuries it is at least a year before we see Lance start a Cowboy game....likely longer.

In Year 3 of his professional career, Trey Lance lost a backup job to Sam Darnold.

Last week, Dallas couldn't beat Sam Darnold either, so I guess he fits right in.

They’ll continue to dominate some teams, including some good teams, give us false hope, lose some games they should win, have us scratching our heads, and tank in the playoffs again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Nope not even close.

You know Jerry will push it until the bitter end. Don't look for any desperate moves unless and until we are mathematically eliminated.

I voted yes because it’s impractical to dump a top third QB because of a periodic bad game. He’s had games like this before, and then bounced back just fine.

Dak will be Dallas’ starting QB opening day in 2025. Not because I’m some spiteful Eagles fan, but because it’s the most practical thing to do.

I dont know about 2025, but at least for the rest of this season.
