If the Chargers beat us, Jerry might be forced to start Lance

Lol, Jerry took 10 years to fire Garrett. He doesnt care what we say as long as that stadium is full..he'd make Dak the highest paid player before ever being pressured to start Lance.

After that disaster by the hands of SF, this team looks shell shocked and you can see it starting to fall off the rails. It’s not there yet, but a loss to LA and this season will begin going up in smoke. This is a must win and an important get right game. A loss here and even worse, if Dak doesn’t perform then Jerry might have no choice but start Lance. The chants have already started on here and it won’t be long before others begin joining in. A loss here would torpedo this season for good.
Why not go sign Dinucci and start him?

Let’s be realistic

Lance is still many weeks away from being able to play.

Who is going to "force" Jerry to do anything?

I wouldn't mind if Lance played at some point. It's apparent some folks never saw him play in San Fran. It wasn't pretty, and he had the same supporting cast as Purdy.

These posts are worse than the Cowboys performance Saturday. Dak will start every game this year as long as he’s not hurt. That’s a guarantee. If Lance ever gets a start the coaching staff would be confirming this season as over.

JG father was one of Jerry’s closest friends and was involved with this organization before Jerry even bought it. Jason Garrett was in reality just a different form of nepotism.

Lol. This isn't happening. We are going down like the Titanic with Dak. Maybe next year...
Unfortunately (or fortunately), Dak is good enough to get us to 11+ wins. This team isn’t “going down like the Titanic“, moreso slowly melting away over time like the polar ice caps.

He was not good enough to beat out the well traveled Sam Darnold for the number 2 job in SF.
This is a myth. Even SF beat writers will tell you lance had the better preseason. Trading him was about saving money on a #3 pick, trying to recoup something at all on the 3 1s they have up for him.

Also a lot of speculation that Kyle never wanted him nu Lynch did. So another piece here is removing any possible locker room disruptions

If there is anyone out there that is capable of making Jerry Jones do anything he doesn't want to do, then what the heck have you been waiting for?

You don't actually believe that, do you?

Do you realize why most of the power rankings still have us between 8-10 after that disaster last week? Because the NFC sucks. We have enough talent to back into the playoffs. Not happening unless Dak goes down

If we lose I think it’s way more likely for Jerry to make a trade than to start lance.

Well first, I admit I misspoke slightly, he didn't have a better preseason, but he didn't have a worse one. There are quotes from beat writers who said it was a myth he was clearly beaten out.

My point is there was much more to trading him than just nearly exact same numbers in preseason, all of which have been mentioned by others. Proof those are the reasons, no, the organization wouldn't admit to any of that.

But if you think the sole reason for dumping him was same stats I'm preseason I'd say you're probably more off base than on.

Jerry isn’t about to bench his $40 million QB for a QB that hasn’t been here very long. Just a couple of days ago during his radio interview he put all his confidence in Dak. As long as he is healthy, he’ll remain the starter the entire season and decisions will be made about him during the offseason. If the Cowboys were to throw Trey Lance out there as a starter this season, he’s almost certain to fail. The only chance he has to succeed is to go through a full offseason and training camp with the team. His confidence was already shaky coming here after what happened to him in San Francisco. If we don’t bring him along the right way there’s little chance he’ll play well.

Dak is the 17 game starter if healthy, regardless of if you go 11-6 or 6-11. This is just common sense. He’s not the best QB in the NFL, but he is the best QB on the Dallas Cowboys and you’re not in any position to tank
What if Dak really K raps the bed in these upcoming games? Would it still be common sense?
