If the Cowboys beat the Seahawks this Sunday

I agree. I actually think Dallas will lose this game. Dallas has not yet shown it can run the football. Dallas is struggling at running effectively. Plus, they are not committing to the run. Dak is still struggling. He did play a lot better but that was to be expected because he played like dog poo in the first game. Also, despite the 6 sacks, Dallas DL really didn't impress me that much against the pass. They played well against the run though. The sacks came on failures of the OL of the Giants more than the greatness of the Cowboys DL. That worries me. I did like the more aggressive blitzing that Dallas did. That encourages me. Lawrence though did not beat his man one time to make a sack. Nor did Taco, or any other DL. Seattle's OL got flat out beat against the Bear's DL and Mack last night. It wasn't stunts that did them in. I am not sure Dallas will cleanly beat them to get sacks in this game? If they do, then I think Dallas can win. If they get 1 or 2, I think Dallas will lose this game because I think Dak is not going to be able to put up enough points to out score the Seahawks. I also do not see Zeke gaining 100 anytime soon on the ground. The OL needs to improve still.
If we don't beat them pretty easily it is another huge indictment of our coaching staff. I know they are desperate ... but they are down to Russell & ET and maybe a couple other quality players. It should be simple if we don't beat ourselves.

Save the 2nd round pick in case we need to sweeten a pot for a potential trade up in next years draft for a QB........you know if the Dak thing doesn't end up working out. Plus our secondary (kavon and the goat) is already playing at a high level.

This is a very good point - most here don't look at more than what is immediate, but there has to be some thought to how to get a top QB if Dak doesn't work out. Even aside from that, suppose the bidding gets really high for Lawrence next off season, or a key player has a major injury. There can be a lot of value to that pick that we don't even know yet. If we were struggling a Safety so far, the sense of urgency would be different, but right now the DBs we have are getting the job done, and Xavier Woods will only add to that.

Well, teams like AZ, DET and NYG are Tier 3, I'd put us in 2 because of the D. That might change this Sunday. Either DAL or SEA will drop to 3.

However, I wouldn't look for a lot of offensive improvement in SEA, even if their two LBs are not back. If Wagner's back healthy, I don't like the Cowboys to win this, he's their Lee against the run and great at reading. And if Wright is back as well, I don't think the Cowboys break 13, if that.

I guess Tiers are subjective. I didn't know how many tiers you had! lol. I've got 4 tiers

1. Rams, Vikings, Eagles. - NFC title favorites
2. GB, Atlanta, Carolina, - solid playoff caliber teams
3. Tampa, Dallas, New Orleans, Chicago, Seattle, SF - playoff bubble teams with a lot to prove or glaring weaknesses
4. Detroit, Washington, NY, Arizona - no chance

Will the Seahawks finally trade Earl Thomas to the Cowboys? They will be 0-3. Might as well tank since the NFC is stacked and they are a rebuilding team.[/QUO
They started tanking the first week. They are in rebuilding mode. They needs guys like Wagner, kj wright Thomas and Wilson to save face as if they are really going to do something. They still compete but they know they aren't going anywhere. They may try to keep everyone until the trade deadline

I like Dak slot but this his is prove it season. I'm not paying him top dollar. I'll pay him something like Russell Wilson gets but I'm not paying him Stafford or Aaron Rodgers money. I'd pay Dak in the mid twenty's maybe but he's not getting 29-30+ no way. We are a run team for one thing and he's a guy that will pass for 4000 plus yards and 30+ TDs per season. He just isn't that guy.

We need that second for a possible trade up for the guy from Oregon or tua from Alabama. Dak has all the right stuff he can do it but I want to see it. He has a young squad to lead. He has receivers who look like they will fight for him. He needs to lead this team to the playoffs. He needs to have a better season than his rookie season to earn that money he seeks and Jerry wants him to earn. I'm rooting for him but I don't think we should wait for him. If we fail this year , and Tua from Alabama is available I'm all in . I'm trading every pick that is needed to go get him

I just don't see Seahawks losing at home. It is must win for them. I'll be surprised and impressed if Cowboys win.

They just lost to the Bears and were never really in the game. And Trubisky should have had 6 picks last night.

I think we will beat seatle...or should beat seatle. their offense starts and ends with Wilson and is more inept than the cowboys.....

and I say lets wait on the earl Thomas trade..... I don't see the cowboys as superbowl contenders, so why waste and valuable asset...plus earl wants money... and next year we have to start to think about paying Collins, Jaylon, Jones, Lawrence and make a decision on Dak....that's a lot of money....

The Cowboys better beat the Seahawks Sunday, that is a bad football team. If they Cowboys are looking to trade picks and spend big dollars, do it for a need. They do not need defense as much as OL, TE, QB and WR.

Did Thomas do anything in the Bears game. I didn't even notice him playing.
