Off a fourth. No way should we give up a second for a guy who is going to play 13 games for us

Will the Seahawks finally trade Earl Thomas to the Cowboys? They will be 0-3. Might as well tank since the NFC is stacked and they are a rebuilding team.
The thought crossed my mind, I mean Seattle gotta be thinking about

Yeah because 1 2nd is the difference between us winning a Super Bowl. This team giving up a 2nd for ET3 wouldn’t be a dumb move at all. Especially because even though we have drafted well it never seems to convert into playoff wins. This team could benefit from a move like this especially because this defense is already fired up adding earl Thomas :omg:

I think the challenge is that we are 2 games into the season and having ET would not have helped us with the primary challenge this team has which is offense......

There is still a reasonable chance we lose much more than we win this year and
We might really need that pick

No. It would be a poor return on investment. We could have had this deal back in April and we said no. Now all of a sudden we would say yes?

We dominated Seattle last year. Between Dez acting like a fool, the weird offensive play calls near the goal line, and Bailey missing kicks we lost. As long as don't turn the ball over this game is ours.

Chicago and Seattle's best offenses are their defense. That was a good game last night between 2 marginal playoff caliber teams struggling on offense. Though, both teams are better than the NYG on offense.

My concern is that I doubt we are going to be able to move the ball on Seattle. Everybody is lauding Dak for his performance against NY but the offense was stuck in the mud most of the game. After the 65 yarder to Austin on the first series, Dak only passed for 95 yards the rest of the game. So, i'm looking for another defensive struggle in Seattle. Game probably comes down to a special teams or defensive TD. I'd be surprise if either team broke 20 points.

Maybe.... if they go 0-3 their season is heading down the drain. Will they lower their requirements and accept less than a second round pick? Not likely because their season is heading down the drain and the light will come on, if it hasn't already, that they need to retool in a big way. Accepting less than a second round pick is not serious retooling and they probably want to save face. SJ has already said no to a second round pick. Low probabbility that it will happen

Can't go sleepless in Seattle though. They will be desperate at 0-2 and they have a few guys who may be back off injury including Wagner. Winnable game for us? Yep. Losable? Yep. Still, the Seahwaks have really fallen big time in two short years. They still have Wilson and the Bears showed the formula, jail break pass rush and make him really uncomfortable. We got the horses for that

They are a classic case of what happens when the rookie QB deal expires. You can't pay everyone. Their drop-off is directly related to Russel Wilson's new contract.

Offer them a 5th round pick at that time.

Seriously the hawks are not in the position to make any kind of claims. If they want to get rid of ET they have to offer draft picks. At least a 3rd rounder.

I cant understand this whole discussion and i got mad when i saw we offered a 2nd.

The hawks are in rebuilding mode. They want to get rid of contracts and a player who is looking for a last big payday.

Why should we help them with no exchange for us ? We are not the social welfare departement..you want us to help you. Ok. We take your player we take his contract from you we take a possible distraction from your locker room. But it will cost you something.

I honestly don't think we need Earl. I definitely would not give up a 2 at this point.

Isn't that always the way. Pay QB big and watch drop off. NE's saving grace? Tommy plays for less ;). Stock pile that cap space SJ, you're gonna need it

I say we make a call tomorrow and tell them the 2nd round offer is still on the table.

If they wait until after Sunday's game against them, the offer lowers one round with each that passes.

If Dallas loses against them, trade will be off the table.

Still lots of questions about our offense starting with the QB, and Thomas will be a free agent next year, so let's toss away a 2nd round pick anyway.

That second round pick could be part of a package to move up in the draft for a "franchise QB", which I see people clamoring for every day here.
