Mean Joe Green would be right at the top of any list for me. Randy White too. Either would be dynamite in Marinelli's defense.

Since we have more 3Techs than DE's though, Reggie White at SDE would help this team more probably.

Ronnie Lott or Sanders in the backfield would help a lot too.

All things considered, I'd probably go with Joe Green though.

Hard to imagine the best CB of all time not helping this defense tremendously. I guess I'd go with Primetime.

Erik Williams. Smith-Leary-Frederick-Martin-Williams would be an unstoppable force.

I thot of Erik right away as well. Prob sounds crazy to most since defense has needs, but he would be awesome on that OL.

Derrick Brooks, Derrick Thomas.

I'd go with Brooks.

If limited to only Cowboys...Probably a tossup between Ware and Woodson. Nod to Woody since we have no one even close to his ability on the roster.

Irvin, he and Dez would be amazing also he could lead the locker room.

Feel sorry for the QB standing between them as he has to listen to them say "get me the ball". I love Mike but watching Troy on the sideline with Irvin constantly in his ear about "get me the ball" would drive me crazy let alone 2 very emotional WR's. lol

I believe the OP is referring to bringing any player back in "Cowboys" history. If I could bring back any player in Cowboys history to play out the rest of the season it would be Roger Staubach. With Romo's back situation and the Cowboys in serious playoff contention I can't think of any player in the teams history I would rather have at this very moment.

Ha, yeah thats a fair point, but winning cures all ills.

At all times i'm picking Emmitt Smith in his prime.

With Murray producing more than Emmitt ever did after 9 games I think I would stay with Murray. If there's one area the Cowboys don't have an immediate need at it's at RB.

Reggie White. The best DL to ever play the game.

He routinely beat double and triple teams and he'd have to with this team.

Aikman would probably be better for this offense than Roger would.

Why would you say that? With the Cowboys in a 2 game slide and having to come from behind in games Roger would be better suited for that situation.

If the Cowboys could add a historic player?

Suppose the Cowboys could bring back any player in its history to play for the rest of the year in his prime. Who would help and benefit the team the most?

O Roger Staubach. D Bob Lilly. Both consummate leaders and competitors. Just would love to watch them play again.
