If the Dak that showed up yesterday shows up we can beat anybody

Dak was effective because we had a great running game and thus Moore was able to call a balanced game, so Dak wasn’t asked to perform above his capabilities.

Dak is equally ineffective when teams shut down our run game and force him to beat them with his arm.

I think the fortunes of our team lay more with the OL; if we can control the line of scrimmage we can remain balanced in our attack.

This is even more important when we play teams with strong running games since our run defense is suspect and we routinely get shredded by such teams; therefore, we will have to outscore them to win and we cannot do that with poor OL play.
Fortunately with the addition of Peters and Tyron coming back our o-line should actually be a little stronger

Would have been cool if yesterday's Dak showed up against the niners too. But here we are.

What would have really been cool is if we didn't have more penalties in the niners game then all the other teams that played that weekend combined.

What would be absolutely outstanding is if before last week when we traded for Jonathan hankins somebody actually realized that we were being run on unmercifully for a decade and used a first round pick or addressed in free agency the fact that we need a run stopping defensive tackle.

So Dallas wins and it's because of Pollard, but if they lose, we know whose fault it is.

Be careful not to travel too far down the agenda trail, where everything you say becomes agenda filtered.

It's okay to admit Dak played well versus Chicago without anointing him as an elite QB. Both can be true.
Everything I say has already become that to some.

I honestly couldn't care less if agenda driven people accuse me of having an agenda.

What if the Tony Pollard that played yesterday stays home?

Hard time saying anything half ars decent about Dak? what did you want them to lose? Dak played very well as did Pollard as did the OL as did the WR. Is it really that hard to give Dak some credit?

I gave Dak credit on other threads including the game thread.

He played well as a franchise QB until he threw that horrible INT and then he went back into his rightful and best place of being a bus driver when the score got a little sketchy cause he gave the Bears life.

2nd half of the Bears game Dak is my favorite version of Dak. He barely threw and let the RBs do their thing.

Bus driver? converting big 3rd downs via the pass? several that were 3rd and long? 4 for 4 in the redzone? Dak was pin point accurate with his passes. Dallas ran the ball in the end half? yeah we put up 28 in the 1st half and expected to run the ball more. As for the int please name a QB who does not throw the occasional int. lol it is really tough for you to actually comment on Dak playing very good ball without some negative comment. You have dug your heals in so much on Dak that to say anything decent is impossible.

Yes.

The 2nd half, when the Bears got it close, Dak went back to 2016 Dak.

That is the best version of Dak and the version of Dak that we can make a real run with.

lol really can't say anything good about him can you? I give credit to the job the OL did and Pollard as well as WR and TE because without those guys stepping up it would not matter who the QB was. As for Dak he stepped up in this game and played damn good yet again you are so negative about Dak it is pathetic.

Dont let him suck u in from beating a bad team

And that does have to be taken in to consideration. They played the 32 ranked defense in the Lions and the 16th ranked defense in the Bears. Dak and the offense pounded the Bears defense into submission which is a break out performance for them.

the only issue is when they get to the top 10 defenses it gets pretty tough. If they can hang 24+ on the Eagles next game it gives us more concrete evidence as to where they truly are.

again, not taking a single thing away from the offense because they beat the Bears defense like a red headed stepchild, but we all know we have to see them do it against a stout defense…..and I hope to hell that they are peaking at playoff time and make a real run.

We played a bad defense. But he looked really good. Sharp passes on the button.

I could be mistaken but I thought they said that the Bears were ranked 5th against the pass in yards allowed. Apologies if that’s incorrect

I'm giving him credit for doing what was needed.

The same thing I did for Cooper Rush.

They knew their role and stayed in their lane.

The fact that you are begging me to say Dak is this great QB and the credit that I give him is not enough for you is what's really pathetic

No just pointing out back handed compliment. Dak drove the bus in the 2nd half? lol 1st scoring drive of the 2nd half Dak was 4 for 4 for 56 yards putting Cowboys in redzone before Pollard finished with a 7 yard run, Cowboys did not use Dak as a bus drive they used him as an NFL QB expected to go out and make plays. Not begging you to do nothing why would you? You are so against Dak which is shown in your post around here.

How many passes did Dak throw in the 2nd half total?

Dallas after the 1st TD in the 2nd half Dallas was up 35 to 29, next Bears get the ball back fumble and Parson runs it in, score 42 to 29 and at that stage in the 4th qrt you bet Moore was going to run the ball to eat clock, Pollard would hit a run of 54 for the TD to make it 49 to 29. Now do I expect Dallas to go out and keep throwing with a lead of 42 to 29? No I don't

4 but at that point we are up 42 to 29, Dallas had no reason to throw the ball, no team with a big lead will be looking to throw. The situation of the game did not call for it and had Moore gotten pass happy you guys would be screaming about it

The best Dak is bus driver Dak.

The Dak that the Dallas Cowboys can make a real run with is bus driver Dak.

I rest my case.

You rest your case? lol. Dak via the pass lead the team down field including hitting a 30 yarder to shultz got us down in the redzone and Cowboys scored. Next possession Parsons gets the fumble recovery and runs in in to go up 42 to 23. Yes Cowboys were going to run the ball mid way through the 4th qrt. I'm sorry you do not seem smart enough to figure out teams run the ball in the 4th qrt with that kind of lead.
