This thread is actually kind of fun in some perverse way but I am surprised it has carried on so long.

The NFL is dragging it's feet on this for whatever reason. By this time they should know exactly what happened to those footballs.

This could all have been resolved w/in 24 hours of the game. Its just like when Goodell was under fire for the Ray Rice Fiasco and the mediots were calling for his head. Its simple, drag it out, have an "investigation" that drags out, and over time it will become irrelevant. This way the league can dictate which outcome they want. In this case, Mr Krafty can have his puppet Roger keep dragging it out so he can get the outcome he desires. It becomes a bigger mess as time goes on and with all the conflicting info that has come out the NFL can just act like its impossible to actually know what happened so it just dissipates as its being swept under the rug.

I stopped after page ten...then wonder why some of you guys give me so much crap for being a Commanders fan.

These guys are clearly Patriots fans in disguise. Sad. At least I am honest about my fandom.

Ill be honest here. The absolute worst thing about being a Cowboy fan is that we get a lot of bandwagon jumpers and front runners that lay claim to being part of the family/fan base. We get Yankee fans. We get Laker fans.

Sounds like you've finally figured out there's absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing by the Patriots, so you're just preemptively accusing the league of sweeping this all under the rug.

I do not think the Wells Report is all that interested in punishment. It may contain some recommendations, but I am expecting it to mostly focus on facts and let the league decide the consequences.

The reason why it is taking so long is because it has gone far beyond what the Patriots did or, more more likely, didn't do. One NFL employee has already been fired for stealing game used footballs. The Colts GM has publicly stated that he informed the league office of his concerns prior to the game, so I am sure Wells is very interested on whom he voiced those concerns to and what that person subsequently did. It is ridiculously obvious that the NFL gameball-handling procedures are extremely lax, and no one cared until someone accused the Patriots of doing something they likely didn't do. (Certainly no one gave 2 turds when the Vikings were caught red handed tampering with footballs.... that's because people arent obsessively jealous of the Vikings the way they are of the Patriots).

Not to mention that if they released the report too quickly, all the usual idiots would complain that the league rushed through the whole thing and just wanted to sweep it under the rug.

I'm not buying that. They've had plenty of time.

Sorry bro, the league cover up/sweeping under the carpet was something quite a few of us predicted when this thing initially started.

I didn't use to believe that but this thread proved me wrong.

Oh its true. Im a Cowboy fan because I was born in Dallas. It took me a while to figure it out but there are a lot of "Cowboy fans" like Lebron. There not all from Cleveland. They're from all over the country. They put the Cowboys cap on for football season and the Yankee cap for baseball season and then the Laker cap and shoes for basketball. Some of them have no ties to any of these teams. Never been to Texas, NY, or LA but "love" those teams. Or maybe they are from or have ties to one of the places but still front run on the bandwagons.

And this thread shows the Pats are now part of that group for the bandwagon jumpers.

I guess I just never paid attention.

The Cowboys do very much have an allure to them..a flashy aspect to them.

Exactly - because you knew all along there was absolutely zero evidence of wrongdoing.

He can speak for himself but that is not what he said. He used the words cover up right? You know what that means.

So why are you completely changing what he said? Cover up hardly means he thought there was zero evidence.

Well then, tell us all: What is the evidence?

Please please please tell me about the "11 of 12 balls 2 PSI below regulation". I need a good laugh, and I find it hilarious that there are actually people still married to the Mort Report.

Ha. This picture reminds me of that scene in THE AVENGERS where Hulk smashes Loki in the Stark Tower.

He was lying on the floor a lot like this.

PUNY GOD Is what he said..

Poor Loki.
Yeah poor Loki. When last we saw him, he was sitting on the throne of Asgard.... kinda like how the Patriots are sitting on the throne of the NFL.....
