If the Eagles win and clinch the division on Sunday would you sit out last game?

It is a conundrum. The Cowboys seem to play poorly after a week off, but they have so many guys who are dinged, and they seem to lose one key player almost every game to injury.

However, I would rest the players needed for the playoffs, and those who are injured. Lawrence, Parsons, Diggs, Kearse, LVE, Bland, Armstrong have to get the night off. They need live legs for the playoffs. I would throw in all the backup CBs and tell them whoever plays the best will get the start in the first playoff game.

On offense I would play the starters for a quarter. But the OL needs to work together in case Biadasz can't go the following week. Peters and Smith need to work together a bit and Smith needs work at LG. McGovern needs work at C. Maybe the OL plays a half.

We saw last year playing the starters in a meaningless game did not make a difference in the playoff game against the 49ers. The Cowboys came out flat and unprepared. Might as well sit them against the Commanders. They may have to bring a few guys up from the practice squad but that's not such a bad thing either. Maybe that big dude that used to play for the Eagles can clog up the middle. Let's find out.

Who do you want to sit out against Washington? Nevermind Camp Cupcake complaints and soft team stuff. We all saw how tired and beat up this team is. They need rest. Period. Give me some guys who shouldn't see the field. Starting with DLaw and Micah. Rest Dak and Lamb. Who else ? Should we bring up the whole practice squad ?

I'd play all healthy starters in the first half. Then I'd turn the second half over to the backups.
You can't be scared of injuries or someone possibly getting injured because the sitting vs. not-sitting isn't established science. Some teams are hurt by sitting their starters, others aren't.

But ... with no extra week's rest, some players may need the rest. I trust our staff to determine who really needs to play, who can play one half and who needs to play the entire game.

Anything can happen, or nothing can happen.

You can't play or live in fear.

And 18 games are right around the corner. Players careers are going to be shortened by 2-3 years.

When we played the Eagles the last game of 2021, they sat every starter except Jason Kelce, and the only reason he got to start the game was because he *****ed about sitting out. Yes, I checked the box score and starting lineups.

We kicked their *** that day, 51-26.

we are already down a lot of guys so again doubt they can sit many,..id say 10-12 starters and maybe after half sit more and more as the game goes on..ill let the coaches figure it out, definitely have a handful that NEED off even if iuts game for the division.

all our new DBs could use work like Mullins, alexander, and Sheffield..find a better rotation for the playoff game.

its a dilemma for sure.. what d to do i mean we have shot to beat Washington with Rush, Malik and handful of starters resting but the OL ? how do we treat that? you want to throw game intentionally?

Im curious how MM and JJ decides how to play this..NY might rest many as well..
